Police have arrested a 44-year-old man who snatched $500 from a toddler’s hand after the child removed the money from his mother’s purse.

Warren Hayes of the Bronx turned himself in on Tuesday, cops said. Hayes allegedly saw a 3-year-old boy remove $500 in cash from his mother’s purse inside a liquor store in Hunt’s Point last Friday. When the child’s mother did not notice, Hayes approached the boy, took the money and fled the store.

He has been charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree.

Police are looking for a woman who robbed at least eight different people over the span of two months in Queens and Staten Island.

Cops say Rehana Hussain, 43, targets mostly women as they are shopping, often taking their wallet or purse when the victim is distracted.

On Jan. 20, the suspect stole a wallet from a woman who was waiting at the cash register inside a Century 21 department store on Junction Boulevard in Queens. The thief struck again later the same day inside Shine Beauty Salon in Astoria where she stole from a victim’s handbag while it was left unattended.

Police have arrested the man who allegedly stole this Salvador Dali drawing from the Venus Over Manhattan gallery on the Upper East Side last June.

Police have solved a months-long mystery surrounding a $150,000 Salvador Dalí drawing stolen from an Upper East Side gallery last June.

Cameras caught a man take the drawing, “Cartel de Don Juan Tenorio,” stuff it in a bag and walk out of the Madison Avenue gallery past security guards at the Venus Over Manhattan gallery on June 19. A few days later, the artwork was found at John F. Kennedy airport after the thief apparently mailed it back.

Phivos Istavrioglou, 29, who lives in Milan, was arrested on Saturday, according to the Manhattan district attorney’s office. He pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to one count of grand larceny.

Police had information and fingerprints on Istavrioglou from when he stole food from a Lower Manhattan Whole Foods last January, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.

An undercover cop then lured Istavrioglou back to the U.S. by posing as an art gallery manager. He was arrested at JFK airport on Saturday.

“It was almost surreal how this theft was committed – a thief is accused of putting a valuable Salvador Dalí drawing into a shopping bag in the middle of the afternoon, in full view of surveillance cameras,” Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance said.

Police are searching for two men wanted for grand larceny after they broke a display case and snatched several pieces of expensive jewelry in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown.

The robbery took place just before 2 a.m. on Saturday morning at the hotel located at 57 E. 57th St., according to police.

The thieves stole $2 million worth of jewelry, the New York Post reported. Two suspects grabbed the jewels while a third waited in a car outside.

Sources told the Post that the crooks took three watches, a necklace, earrings, rings, cuff links and pendants from the Jacob & Co. case.

Police have released the following descriptions of the two suspects: Suspect#1-M/B, 6’0″, short black hair, last seen wearing a tan colored trench coat and was in possession of a hammer.
