Jeff Garlin can’t curb his road rage
Well, parking lot rage. The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star reportedly went to jail over the weekend in L.A. for smashing in the car window of a couple who stole his parking spot. Which, if this was an episode of “Curb,” would likely be a drolly hilarious interaction. IRL, however, that’s just messed up.

Flavor Flav’s poison gas
The people who manage the recently-evicted (for rent negligence) Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Rib in Michigan are claiming they didn’t pay because of “poison gas” in the building. We find it very hard to believe that was the most toxic thing in a Flavor Flav. chicken. restaurant.

Putin jacked Patriots’ Super Bowl ring, maybe
The Russian president is denying the allegations that he stole Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s ring during a 2005 meeting, claiming it was a gift. Are we the only ones who think this story totally hilarious, either way?

One top way to show the world how grown-up and manly you are? Posting photos of lady underwear (tee hee!) on the Internet. Justin Bieber — who, if you haven’t heard, is most definitely not a kid anymore and is, in fact, a very adult man — posted a picture of a bra to his Instagram, along with the caption “I guess everyone grows up.” We’re not sure if this means that he’s grown up because some girl apparently threw this bra at him or because his mom just took him shopping for his first Maidenform and he’s really proud of it and brought it to the show, but there’s no disputing the fact that Justin Bieber is an ADULT, ok world?

Keyshawn Johnson and Justin Bieber are at odds.

In one of the weirdest stories you’ll ever hear, the former NFL receiver called the cops on the teenage pop star after Bieber whizzed by Johnson in his Ferrari. According to TMZ, Bieber went flying by Johnson, who was driving a Prius, at “breakneck speeds” in Calabasas, Calif.

Johnson was furious and attempted to chase Bieber down and knocked on his front door. Bieber, per TMZ, ran away and hid from Johnson in the confines of his Hollywood mansion. Apparently, Bieber speeds frequently.

Jones-Drew under investigation

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew allegedly hit a security guard in Florida Sunday night. No charges have been filed and police said Jones-Drew was cooperating fully with the investigation.

The Jaguars and Jones-Drew aren’t commenting at this time.

NFLPA looking at Jay-Z

The NFLPA is looking at Jay-Z’s role in luring Jets rookie Geno Smith to his newly-formed sports agency, Roc Nation Sports.

Jay-Z doesn’t have authority to sign players since he’s a non-certified agent. Smith posted an Instagram photo of himself with the rapper before he was an official client. The NFLPA can’t punish Jay-Z, but they can take action against the certified agent who inked Smith.

NFL Draft switches dates
The NFL announced what had been previously speculated: the draft is moving to May 8.

The draft, usually held two weeks earlier, had to be switched due to a scheduling conflict with Radio City Music Hall. The NFL combine will be held Feb. 18-25 in Indianapolis.

Texans’ Foster carted off
Texans running back Arian Foster left practice in a cart Tuesday after straining his calf.

It’s unclear how much time Foster will miss, but teammate Andre Johnson said he didn’t think it was “anything serious.”

That said, it would be awesome if they did that for the first few shows and then switched it up by the time they got here.

“Will’s here,” says an assistant.

No kidding. His laugh —familiar from 100 episodes of “Fresh Prince” — booms across the Hollywood soundstage, as he arrives to meet me. Despite being the single biggest star on the planet, with a net worth of $200 milion, Smith still comes off as happy-go-lucky — and happy to laugh at his own jokes.

His son, Jaden, follows behind, serious, yet gracious. A box-office draw in his own right, after “The Karate Kid,” the 14-year-old toplines their new film “After Earth,” set 1,000 years into the future. In it, his trainee braves a planet overgrown by wild creatures, to save his injured father, played by Smith.

The film’s eco-message made them the perfect Special Guests for our Earth Day edition. In an intimate, hour-long chat, the two discussed working together, how to fix the planet, and the inevitable: life with mom. That very week, Jada Pinkett Smith posted a Facebook missive, clarifying earlier statements about her and Will’s “open relationship,” calling it instead a “grown relationship.”

Smith talked about that as best he could, given that his young son was sitting right there with him.

You guys work together, live together — but online, I see videos of Jaden skateboarding, talking about girls—

Jaden: Um-hmm. Um-hmm.

So I wondered—

Will: Wait. [To Jaden] You be talking about girls a whole lot?

J: In interviews, Dad. About them. I’m not online, like, “Hey, girls, hello!” [Mimes taking a photo of himself] Tweet!

Will, how aware are you of what Jaden’s doing?

W: Not much at all. Not much at all. That’s what I like him to think. [Laughs] I have a group of Men in Black that keep up pretty good.

J: This is what I’ve realized: No matter what I do or how I do it, he knows 100 percent of what’s going on.

W: [Laughs]

J: There’s no point in hiding anything because he knows. Whether he acts on it or not, he knows.

How do you know he knows?

J: I just know that he knows. [Both laugh]

W: I heard Jaden’s friend one time, they were sitting around, talking about something and I came in the room and said, “Hi” and walked out of the room and paused for a second and I hear the friend saying, “Dude, I’m telling you, he knows! He knows!” [Both laugh uproariously]

J: He knows, bro.

When was the last time you were punished, Jaden?

W: We don’t do punishment. The way that we deal with our kids is, they are responsible for their lives. Our concept is, as young as possible, give them as much control over their lives as possible and the concept of punishment, our experience has been — it has a little too much of a negative quality. So when they do things — and you know, Jaden, he’s done things — you can do anything you want as long as you can explain to me why that was the right thing to do for your life.

J: It works pretty well.

But most teenagers aren’t naturally introspective. Jaden, do you find yourself asking yourself deep questions about your behavior and acting accordingly?

J: Yeah. Other teenagers go to parties and sometimes I be like, “Why am I here right now?” And most of the time, I just leave right then and there. Some things I don’t like to do, that other teenagers do. Everyone thinks that since you make movies, you go to parties, and I like to party, but not normal teenage parties.

Are you missing out on a good ol’ fashioned American childhood?

J: Not at all. I go out and skate every night. Hang out with people, skate, hang out with more people, skate to their house.

W: [To Jaden] What do you see as the purpose and point? So you’re not going out and partying — what’s the purpose, what’s the point, what are you doing?

J: It’s not like I don’t want to go to parties because I need to study and go to college; I just don’t wanna go. If they’re gonna play house music, I’m maybe interested, but if it’s some random place and they’re playing Waka Flocka Flame….

You’re anti-generic.

J: Exactly.

Will, how and when did you and Jada decide Jaden could handle a full-fledged movie career?

W: You can never be certain. You have an idea, you can feel your kids, but until the things in their lives start to unfold and the things they cause begin to have effects, you can never totally see. But we felt that because they were choosing a business that we were both successful in, then at a minimum, we could give good advice.

You used the phrase “they were choosing” but did they choose? Jaden, you were going to the red carpet when you were in diapers.

J: It was not going to the red carpet so people could see us, it was going to the red carpet because we had free tickets.

W: [Laughs] That’s what our life was. The family has a movie so they’re going.

J: It started with our mom is going to the red carpet, she doesn’t want to leave us with somebody so she’s going to bring us. Then it got to us walking. And then it got to us starring in movies.

Jaden, your music is trippy. It’s far from Will’s feel-good beats. Is that consciously your own thing?

J: I mean, people are already telling me I look like him, that I talk and walk like him. If I rapped like him too, people would be like, “Let’s go on the Fresh Prince Tour.”

Fresh Prince and Fresh Prince Jr. — I would go to that tour.

J: I had to go way left with it because if I came out with a song with me and a bunch of girls in a car with sunglasses on [the Pacific Coast Highway] going ,”Yeah!”, they’d go, “That’s the average thing to do.” Instead I came out with the video for “The Coolest” and people were like, “Whoa! The camera’s going upside down.”

Will, can you even connect to his music, at your age?

W: At 14, his mind is so much deeper and more complex than my mind was at 14 years old. Lyrically, where he goes and what he creates and how the things are conceptually is beyond what I could create at 14 years old.

Or even later in your career: “Miami” is not telling a complex story.

W: Right. Poetically, he’s beyond where I ever go to with my music. My strength is ideas. And record structure. I knew how to make records in the way you get to the hook when the crowd wants it.

J: That’s what you’re really good at. You could go anywhere and be like, “When I say hip, you say hop,” and they’ll all say it! If I go up there, I’ll say, “All right guys, I’m gonna read you a Shakespearean sonnet real quick, here I go.” [Both laugh]

The funniest part to me is the music, the old school sound of the music that I have in some of my songs is like what his old school beats used to sound like. It’s just different. We’re the opposite, but similar in some ways.

The DNA.

W: That’s my seed. Remember where you came from.

Jaden, would you produce Will’s album?

J: If you decided, like, “All right Jaden, I’m serious, I want to make an album”…

W: Oh, if I was serious?

J: I mean, you have movies to make. Businesses you want to start. You’re a busy man.

W: I see how it is.

Jaden may be too big for you, Will.

W: I know, I know. He’s very serious and very focused and has a very rare combination of talent, desire, willingness and means. Which verrrrry, very rarely do those things come together and converge in the proper timing. So I’m excited to see what he decides to do with his life.

Jaden, what happens when you’re 18 and Will kicks you out of the house.

J: We’ll probably work together ‘till he retires and he probably won’t retire.

W: [Laughs] No we’ve been talking about, he’s been thinking about becoming an emancipated minor.

J: Just thoughts that pop into my head.

They made a movie about that — a girl divorced her parents.

J: Really!

Rent that, get some tips.

W: [Laughs] No, it’s not like that. More the idea that, I want him to have as much command and freedom if he is willing to accept responsibility. Those are two concepts that are inexorably bound. So he’s a very responsible young man so he’s entitled to the maximum freedom. [To Jaden] I said “inexorably.” You heard that? Someone Google that for Jaden.

Justin Bieber, who you’re both friends with, has been in the press for some growing pains. Did you learn anything from his last six months?

W: I talk to Justin once a week and Justin is suffering from immature adulthood in the media and surrounding world. Justin’s not doing anything that a normal 19-year-old wouldn’t want to do and wouldn’t need to do to become a man. The transition from boyhood to manhood is a very difficult transition that he’s handling on a world stage better than 95 percent of the people who talk s— about him.

Bieber’s on Twitter. Jaden, you’re on Twitter. Will, what’s up?

J: He doesn’t have one. Usually there’ll be people who have a Twitter. He doesn’t have one. He likes Facebook.

W: I got 44 million people on Facebook. I’m just saying. I don’t know how many people you got on Twitter.

J: I knew you were going to say that.

W: I’m just saying, I don’t know how many people you got. How many people?

J: Four million.

W: Four million. Yeah. I got that after my first number.

J: I feel like people on Facebook will just randomly follow just anybody.

W: [Laughs hysterically]

Jada’s on Facebook.

W: Oh!

J: Oh!

Will + Jaden: Ohhhhhh!

W: Oh, Mommy be going in!

J: My mom goes in on Facebook! She goes in!

Is she aware other people can read what she writes?

[Both laugh loudly]

J: She’ll be like—

W: She’ll call a family meeting.

Will + Jaden: [Doing Jada impression] “I’m posting this on Facebook!”

J: [continuing impression] “I don’t care what people say. If we get hit for this, this is what the truth of the world is.’”Uh, okkkkay mom. She’ll be on the phone with a manager, “I don’t care what they said, I’m posting this on Facebook.” I think she should write a book.

W: Jada is very serious and opinionated and she loves Facebook because it’s the only place she’s ever had where she’s felt like all of her can be received. She’s struggled her whole life where only a part of her is OK.

In her posts, she can take a generality and break it down into a truth. She posted recently about you having a “grown relationship.”

W: A “grown relationship.” [Looks down]

Anything to add?

W: She put some serious, hardcore truth out there. [Pauses] And I think, the five minutes we have left, aren’t gonna be enough to cover it. [Laughs]

OK, onto the Earth Day issue then?

W: Yes! Earth Day! Please!

Oh man. This is not good. I mean, in the spectrum of not good things, this ranks pretty much at the top: Lamar Odom and wife Khloe Kardashian’s charity for kids with cancer looks like a scam. That’s right: They are fleecing kids with cancer. The only thing worse than scamming kids with cancer? Scamming kids with AIDS. That’s it. There’s nothing worse. (OK, maybe scamming orphans with AIDS and/or cancer, but that’s really it.)

A new report by ESPN (and this marks the first time ESPN has been mentioned in this column) says Odom’s charity, Cathy’s Kids, which started in 2004 in honor of Odom’s mother who died from stomach cancer, has raised $2.2 million, but not one cent has gone to cancer-related causes. Instead, it seems like the money has gone to two things: the charity’s “executive,” Jerry DeGregorio, who happened to be the best man in Kardashian’s and Odom’s wedding, and two elite youth basketball travel teams. It’s important to note that none of the kids in that elite basketball team seems to be battling cancer in between traveling to games.

When approached by ESPN, Odom brushed off the allegations with, “It’s my money.”

Actually, if you raise $2.2 million by having people donate their cash to help children with cancer, it’s not your money. I swear. Do I have to go to Hollywood myself to teach these people how to act?

Lohan in Brazil and jokes that she is pregnant
Lindsay Lohan made a very last-minute decision to continue her adventures in Brazil this week, making her way to the São Paulo airport for a flight back to New York only to opt out of getting on the plane, according to E! News. While her manager took the flight as planned, Lohan reportedly checked herself into the Emiliano Hotel with a female friend. “She’s staying on her own dime,” a source say. “She is staying against everyone’s advice.” Lohan’s promotional trip to Brazil for a denim company was to be followed by a quick trip to NYC before heading to L.A. for the Coachella Music Festival and then 90 days of court-ordered rehab. The extended vacation also gave Lohan a chance to get in on the fun of pulling an April Fools’ Day prank on her Twitter followers, posting, “It’s official. Pregnant…” and drawing a flood of shocked reactions. Maybe some of her fans didn’t realize it was a joke because, on the East Coast at least, it was no longer April 1 when the tweet went up. You know, despite everything, I used to like Lohan, but doing an April Fools’ Day joke that reached its pinnacle in 2009 on my Facebook timeline? Unforgivable.

Mayer zips his lips (for once)
John Mayer seems to have turned over a new leaf when it comes to dishing on ex-girlfriends, as in a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres when he did not rise to her attempts to discuss his recent split from Katy Perry. “It was a very private relationship going in, it was a private relationship during and it’s a private relationship still,” Mayer said. “I can understand asking the question based on some previous answers I have given, but I have finally learned how to put the wall between one thing and the other.” The best DeGeneres could glean from the singer was a rather vague, “I’m on the same journey as everyone else. Coupling is a tricky thing.”

Bieber’s friends love a good time — on his dime
It turns out Justin Bieber doesn’t even have to be home to show his friends a good time. According to E! News, about four male pals have been crashing at Bieber’s L.A. home and throwing some pretty raucous parties in his absence. “The music is loud and everything, but where it is, the homes are so spread apart and so big, so I don’t know how they would be able to hear,” a source says. “They probably complain because when people come up, there are like 20 cars. That was a crazy party. We were just drinking and doing our thing.” The houseguests living it up while Bieber continues his European tour include rappers Lil Twist and King Kevi. And from what the source says, the house sounds like a teenager’s dream: “Right when you open the front door, there is an arcade room, basketball machines, a couple Pac-Mans, ping-pong table,” the source says.

Berry and Martinez in paparazzi fight
Halle Berry and fiance Olivier Martinez had a pretty rough homecoming after their Hawaiian vacation when Martinez got into a bit of a scuffle with paparazzi outside LAX, according to TMZ. Martinez allegedly kicked a photographer in the leg and wrist as he, Berry and Berry’s daughter, Nahla attempted to exit the airport, with Berry reportedly imploring the swarm of shutterbugs, “Get away, there’s a child.” Once Nahla was safely in their waiting SUV, Martinez reportedly stormed back to kick the photographer again before being pulled away by Berry.

Justin Bieber just can’t catch a break. Heading into Germany for the next leg of his European tour, the Canadian pop star was hit with an unsettling surprise when his prized Capuchin monkey was seized by German customs officials after he tried to bring the animal into the country without permission, according to People magazine. “Justin Biebr brought his monkey to Germany but had no official paperwork for him,” a customs spokesman says. “We were forced to confiscate the animal.”

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard welcomed a baby girl late last week, the first child for the couple. “Lincoln Bell Shepard is here,” Shepard posted to Twitter. “She has Mom’s beauty and Dad’s obsession with breasts. Hooray!” Not to be outdone, Bell also took to Twitter to jokingly celebrate the birth, posting, “My new roommate poops her pants and doesn’t pay rent. Basically Dax Shepard pre-sobriety. Welcome baby Lincoln.”

“Avengers” star Jeremy Renner and an ex-girlfriend welcomed the birth of daughter Ava Berlin Renner, according to Us Weekly. “They are beyond thrilled,” a rep for Renner says in a statement. “Mother and daughter are doing great.” Though the parents are no longer together, Renner had made a point of putting the mother-to-be up in his Los Angeles home as she awaited the birth. “They used to date but it wasn’t serious,” a source says, adding that Renner was “being ultra-secretive about it, but she has been going on about her life and not hiding it.”

What’s the worst insult a young actress can endure? This might be it. “Les Miserables” star Amanda Seyfried was mistaken at LAX for her “Mean Girls” co-star Lindsay Lohan. “I just got mistaken for a Ms. Lohan at Newark Airport,” Seyfried posted to Twitter. It’s probably not a comparison Seyfried welcomes, considering her previous comments about Lohan: “Lindsay was great on ‘Mean Girls.’ I think that was before she got a little nuts,” Seyfried previously told Teen Vogue. “I kind of don’t expect some of these girls, who’ve been working since they were 2, to be sane.”

It hasn’t been a good month so far for Justin Bieber. Fresh off the heels of a breakup with Selena Gomez, the 19-year-old superstar has cancelled gigs (when he even arrives at all), threatened to “f—ing beat the f—” out of a paparazzo in London, mourned his pet hamster and been treated with oxygen at the hospital. Could a drug-fueled downward spiral a la Lindsay Lohan be far behind? Not if the Biebs has anything to say about it.
“Everyone in my team has been telling me ‘keep the press happy,’ but I’m tired of all the countless lies in the press right now,” the pop superstar wrote on Instagram. “Saying I’m going to rehab and how my family is disappointed in me. My family is beyond proud, and nothing’s been said by them. My grandparents wouldn’t know how to reach [the] press … If anyone believes I need rehab that’s their own stupidity LOL.”
He then took a jab at all the haters who want to compare him to the famous red-headed trainwreck, but deleted it quickly thereafter.

Justin, as a member of the press, I assure you that every time you blink, you keep us happy, because it’s news to somebody. And no need to shy away from the Lohan blows — we’re all with you on that one — but now that you mention it, I am curious about Lindsay’s 2012 tax statements. I’m guessing that you meant to say that you made a lot more money than her, but I’m interested in seeing if she writes her drug expenses off as charity, because she in a way kind of is giving to those in need — mainly, gossipmongers like myself on the hunt for daily content. So thanks, Lindsay, and keep up the good work!

World erupts into state of panic as Nicki Minaj is late to “Idol”
Nicki Minaj was nowhere to be seen as “American Idol” went to air Wednesday night. Indeed, the rapper was 13 minutes late to the judges’ table for Wednesday’s live show because she got stuck in traffic, per People.com. She even missed the first performance of the evening before quieting slipping inside in a black hoodie and dark shades.
This is the first time this has happened in “Idol” history, which, when you think about it, is pretty miraculous, considering wackadoodles like Paula Abdul and Steven Tyler, plus the divalicious Jennifer Lopez, have sat on the panel in years past. Ryan Seacrest must run a tight ship — who knows how Brian Dunkleman would have fared in a situation like this. You don’t remember the Dunks? Google him!

The still-aspiring singer was seen busking on the subway this week, according to In Touch Weekly. “He was singing ‘(Sittin’ on) the Dock of the Bay,’” a witness told the magazine after spotting the 23-year-old in the First Avenue L station in Manhattan. “A handful of people did double takes,” the witness added. Apparently the show wasn’t all that bad, as the source told In Touch, “The guy’s still a decent singer!”
It’s great to see “Idol” castoffs keeping their hopes alive. Sanjaya, if you get tired of the subways, I bet the singing waiters at Johnny Rockets would give you a warm welcome into their fraternity.

The breakup rumors about Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are reaching a fever pitch, with the New York Post claiming that the couple’s engagement is officially off. “Miley and Liam are done — it’s over,” a source tells the newspaper. “She likes to party really hard and can be pretty wild. It became a problem for him.” But Cyrus is reportedly still holding out hope of a reconciliation. “They do fight, but she is crazy about Liam,” another source says, adding that Cyrus “isn’t ready to accept it might be over for good.”

Gwynnie’s kids go hungry
Gwyneth Paltrow is discovering that getting her family on a new low-carb, gluten-free diet isn’t exactly a painless endeavor. “Sometimes when my family is not eating pasta, bread or processed grains like white rice, we’re left with that specific hunger that comes with avoiding carbs,” she says in her new cookbook. But the pain is worth it, she insists. “Every single nutritionist, doctor and health-conscious person I have ever come across … seems to concur that [gluten] is tough on the system and many of us are at best intolerant of it and at worst allergic to it,” she writes.

Kendrick a single lady
Anna Kendrick has reportedly ended her four-year relationship with her “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” director, Edgar Wright, according to Us Weekly. “She’s single,” a source says. “It was done a little while ago.” In her new life as a single gal, Kendrick has been ruminating about what life would be like on reality TV. “If I were a contestant on ‘the Bachelor,’ I’d just end up falling in love with the weird sound guy and making things uncomfortable for everyone,” she joked recently on Twitter. “To all the people joking about becoming sound guys, you should also know they put mics in actresses’ cleavage and packs on [their] inner thighs. Think about it.”

Terrible London traffic has driven Spice Girl Geri Halliwell underground, as the singer ventured onto public transportation for the first time in nearly two decades this week. “Forgive me for being a brat,” she tweeted about the experience. “After 17 years and yesterday’s two hours of traffic, let’s save time and money — the tube!” Halliwell also posted photos of herself on the platform and train. Her final judgment on the experience? “Not so bad!”

Mirren’s pup in the doghouse
Helen Mirren has been having trouble with one of her canine co-stars in her new West End play, “the Audience,” leading to 7-year-old corgi Lizzy getting the axe, according to the Telegraph. The dog, who appeared as one of Queen Elizabeth’s pets in the play, failed to hit her cues on 16 separate occasions before producers decided to replace her. “She was excited the first three times,” director Stephen Daldry tells the newspaper. “And then I think she decided she didn’t want to be an actress anymore. She decided to retire from the British stage.”

Taylor Swift has some news for everyone keeping track of her love life. “If you want some big revelation, since 2010 I have dated exactly two people,” she tells Vanity Fair, referring to high schooler Conor Kennedy and One Direction member Harry Styles. “The fact that there are slide shows of a dozen guys that I either hugged on a red carpet or met for lunch or wrote a song with, it’s just kind of ridiculous.” But she doesn’t let all the talk get to her. “One of these things I say to myself to calm myself down when I feel like it’s all too much … if there’s a pregnancy rumor rumor, people will find out it’s not true when you wind up not pregnant,” she says. “And if there’s a house rumor, they’ll find out it’s not true when you are actively not ever spotted at that house.”

Kate Winslet says the period between her marriage to Sam Mendes — which ended in 2010 — and her December wedding with Ned Rocknroll has been a great period of self-discovery. “I’ve really learned a great deal about myself, in the last four years in particular,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar UK. “I think I can see more clearly now — about how the pattern of past experiences has shaped who I am, and the character I have played — and I’m grateful for that. I gave so much more material to draw on for work — rubble, bricks — and I know I can carry it now.”

Alec Baldwin‘s new wife, Hilaria Baldwin, is over the moon about being pregnant with the couple’s first child, but she’s learning already that there are some areas where she and her famous husband don’t see eye to eye — like when it comes to potential baby names. “[Alec] had the idea for Massimo the other day,” Hilaria tells Rachael Ray during a visit to her television show. “It’s a lovely name, I just don’t know. That’s a very big name for a little baby.” She’d rather wait until the tyke arrives before settling on something. “I think you actually have to look at it once it pops out and say, ‘Who are you? What is your name?’” she says.

Ten years after their films’ releases, Andy and Lana Wachowski are facing a lawsuit claiming the plots for the “Matrix” sequels, “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolutions,” were stolen, according to E! News. Hawaii-based writer Thomas Althouse is suing the Wachowskis along with producer Joel Silver and Warner Bros. for copyright infringement in federal court claiming, claiming the two films were “based and formulated in substantial part” upon his 1993 screenplay, “The Immortals,” which he claims was submitted through his attorney to the Hollywood studio at the time. Althouse says the delay in filing suit is because he did not actually see the sequels until 2010. Warner Bros. hasn’t responded to requests for comment.

Rihanna claims that things are working better now with on-again off-again boyfriend Chris Brown because they’ve grown up a lot in the four years since his arrest for assaulting her. The singer insists to Elle UK that they have “a great friendship that’s unbreakable. Now that we’re adults, we can do this right. We got a fresh start, and I’m thankful for that,” she says. Rihanna even predicts that she will “probably have a kid” within the next five years.

Justin Bieber‘s celebrations for his 19th birthday didn’t go so swell Friday, leading the Canadian pop star to tweet a simple, “worst birthday.” And while many of his fans quickly leapt to the conclusion that the paparazzi were responsible for his dejection, it reportedly had more to do with the security at London’s Cirque du Soir nightclub, who wouldn’t let some of his entourage in because they couldn’t prove they were over 18, according to E! News. Bieber still managed to have some fun — dropping a reported $12,000 on bottle service for his pals — but the incident with security put an early stop to the festivities. “I think Justin and his friends had a good time,” a source says. “He had a complete separate area in the club, and most of his guests arrived earlier. He was, of course, not amused that some of his close friends were refused entrance.” But the folks behind the club are eager to stay friends with Bieber despite the kerfuffle. “Justin Bieber visits Cirque Du Soir regularly, and he and his friends are always welcome, as long the members of the group are legally old enough to enter the club,” a club spokesman explains. “This was simply a matter of regulation that we must adhere to.”

Lindsay Lohan appears to be living it up as much as she can in advance of her March 18 trial — and even skipped out the latest court appearance related to the case to stay in New York and go clubbing instead, according to Us Weekly. Maybe she knows it doesn’t look too good for her this time around when it comes to avoiding jail time, especially considering the drubbing her new lawyer, Mark Heller, has been getting from Judge James Dabney. After dismissing Heller’s motions to have the case put on a “slow track,” Dabney cautioned that Heller would need someone by his side versed in California law or “Miss Lohan is going to have to come in here and waive her right to have competent attorneys versed in California law and procedure.”

With his first starring role in an action film, “The Last Stand,” flopping at the box office, it may come as no surprise that Arnold Schwarzenegger is looking at new avenues of employment. Coincidentally, the former California governor has recently signed on to be executive editor of Muscle & Fitness and Flex magazines, two bodybuilding titles. “It was in these magazines that I found the spark that inspired me to start lifting weights, and eventually move to America and realize my dreams, and I’m proud to return as executive editor,” Schwarzenegger says in a statement. Over the course of his career, Schwarzenegger has been featured on the covers of the two magazines more than 60 times.

Former “Sesame Street” puppeteer Kevin Clash previously denied the batch of allegations against him from young men that he’d had sexual relationships with them while they were minors, and now Clash wants the three related lawsuit dismissed, according to TMZ. “There are two applicable types of statutes of limitations, a six-year one based on when the right of action has accrued, and a three-year one based on when the alleged victim turned eighteen and was therefore no longer under the disability of being a minor,” Clash’s attorney writes in motions filed last week in New York. Jeff Herman, who is representing the three plaintiffs, doesn’t think this gambit will work. “It should be noted his motion does not say the abuse did not happen, just that it is too late to file the complaints,” he points out to E! News.

Meet Jonny Valentine: an 11-year-old pop star who worries about his “chub,” hitting puberty and career longevity. In “The Love Song of Jonny Valentine,” author Teddy Wayne gives us a sly peek behind the velvet rope of a young pop star. Sort of inspired by Justin Bieber, the book delights in mocking an American society obsessed with nubile stars. But it also strikes serious chords, examining what that obsession does to the pint-sized pros themselves. Some serious moments even eerily parallel Bieber news stories after Wayne wrote the book, like violent threats and a marijuana scandal. Wayne, 34, talked to Metro about prepping through celeb glossies and guitar strums.

The book is based on Justin Bieber. How many front-row Justin Bieber concert seats did you buy to research?

I ended up not going to any. I didn’t want to be too beholden to the reality of Bieber concerts. I did watch his documentary film. It’s entertaining, it’s his own official documentary but he’s savvier and smarter about his image than you’d think, than the normal teen pop star. I watched a lot of amateur [Youtube] concert footage.

How did you get the idea for the book?

There wasn’t really a “eureka” moment. I’d been tutoring kids in Brooklyn once a week, and at the same time, I’d been working on a novel that was going nowhere. One time, I saw one of the girls reading Miley Cyrus’ book, “Miles to Go,” and it must have landed in my subconscious because a week later, a friend asked if I had any ideas. I said, “How about we parody these teen pop star biographies?” An hour later, I realized if I treated this with more gravity it could make a more serious novel.

Jonny struggles with a few challenges throughout the book, trying to find his father and deciding whether to go to a regular school. Some authors say they feel like their characters lead them – did you have a good idea of the ending, or did you feel like Jonny surprised you?

I had a general idea of where I wanted to go, but one thing I found with writing is I do a lot of ventriloquism. This novel and the previous novel are both in voices very unlike my own. I do a lot of humor writing for magazines and newspapers that’s also “ventriloqufied,” other characters. When I get into another character’s voice, I start thinking about this character, and it does lead me to their decisions and thoughts.

Why do you think society can get to a place where we idolize 11-year-olds?

We hold them up as these paragons of innocence. …. And then inevitably, they fail us, because it’s impossible to stay innocent forever, and once they do we punish them severely. We’re cruel about it.

Metro: On “Believe Acoustic,” you sound rawer and more available than on previous big production tracks. How do you make that intimacy sound authentic, even though you’re…Justin Bieber?

Bieber: It sounds authentic because it is. Acoustic performances, whether busking in my hometown or on YouTube, are how I got started. Songs and performances like that really give me the chance to connect with my fans. That connection is why I perform an acoustic set as part of my Believe Tour every night.

Does this bring us closer to the “real” Justin?

I think everything I put out is a representation of the real me. But this album (Believe Acoustic) definitely allows the public to see a different side of me than “Believe.” The sound of this album is a lot rawer and more exposed.

I ask because previous stars your age—Timberlake, Britney—usually start to define their sound for an older audience around this time. Where are you going?

I’m just growing up and my sound is maturing with me. I don’t spend a lot of time planning where my music will go next. I just write about what is going on in my life and how I am feeling and it’s causing the music to grow with me in a very organic way.

Lots of guys in dorm rooms everywhere play acoustic guitars to pick up girls…and fail, because they look cheesy. What tips do you have for them?

Be confident.

What are you doing this Valentine’s Day?

I’ve got a small break before my UK tour dates start so I’m still figuring it out.

What’s the wildest offer that you’ve had from a female fan?

I get a lot of marriage proposals.

We have to ask about “Nothing Like Us,” a song about your break –up with Selena Gomez—you told Billboard you’re not in the happiest place and have friends to get you through. What have you learned about relationships?

I have learned a lot about who I am and who I want to be.

I’ve also learned how to be there for someone else.

While Justin Bieber may still be making attempts to win back ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, at least one influential personality thinks he should cool it — and maybe revise his previously stated plans to be married by 25, too. “I think 25 is too young, actually, I really do — particularly for you,” Oprah Winfrey tells Bieber during an interview. “Your whole 20s is about discovering who you really are. You owe that to yourself, particularly because of the business that you’re in [where there's] not a lot of self-discovery time because so much is already defined for you.” To Bieber’s credit, he at least seems to acknowledge her authority, responding, “You are Oprah and you’re telling me to not get married when I’m 25, so I should probably listen to you.”

A week after being cleared of of allegations that he’d had a sexual relationship with a minor, “Sesame Street” puppeteer Kevin Clash — the man behind the popular Elmo character — has resigned amid further allegations and an impending $5 million civil suit from a second accuser, according to the Associated Press. “Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding Kevin’s personal life has become a distraction that none of us want, and he has concluded that he can no longer be effective in his job and has resigned from ‘Sesame Street.’ This is a sad day for ‘Sesame Street,’” a spokesman for Sesame Workshop says in a statement. Clash’s initial accuser had recanted his statement, but then recanted his recantation, saying he had been coerced by Clash’s legal team.

Maybe the feminists had it wrong, at least according to Cameron Diaz. “I think every woman does want to be objectified,” she tells the Sunday Times. “There’s a little part of you at all times that hopes to be somewhat objectified, and I think it’s healthy. I’m a woman, I know how to handle myself. I know what I feel comfortable doing, and I know my sexuality.”

While his “Twilight” co-stars, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, have each other to turn to romantically, Taylor Lautner isn’t so lucky, and dating isn’t easy for the actor. “I do have to be more careful. I would be lying if I said that I don’t guard myself more than I used to, but I don’t want to be too guarded,” Lautner tells Look magazine. “If you have so many walls up that you can’t even make new friends or find new relationships, that would be a bummer.”

Bieber, 18, won all three categories in which he was nominated, including the night’s biggest award, artist of the year, over Rihanna, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Drake.

“This is for all the haters who thought that maybe I was just here for one or two years, but I feel like I am going to be here for a very long time,” Bieber said on stage, dedicating his first win of the night to his mother, Pattie Mallette, who accompanied him after his widely reported split from girlfriend Selena Gomez.

“It’s hard growing up with everything going on, with everyone watching me. I wanted to say that as long as you guys keep believing in me, I want to always make you proud,” Bieber said at the end of the night.

Bieber, who also won favorite pop/rock male artist and favorite pop/rock album for “Believe,” took to a bare stage to sing an acoustic stripped-down version of his latest single “As Long As You Love Me” before livening up the show with Nicki Minaj for “Beauty and a Beat.”

The American Music Award nominees and winners are voted online by fans, and the awards are handed out during a live three-hour broadcast featuring performances by artists.

R&B singer Rihanna, 24, and rapper Minaj, 29, led the nominees going into Sunday’s awards with four apiece.

Minaj won favorite rap/hip hop artist and rap/hip hop album of the year for “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.” The singer, known for her extravagant on-stage performances, sang her latest hit “Freedom” in a winter wonderland-themed set.

Rihanna came away with one win. She couldn’t make the show because she is in Berlin, midway through a seven-day tour across seven cities around the world promoting her upcoming “Unapologetic” album.

Canadian pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen, 26, picked up the coveted new artist-of-the-year award over One Direction, Australian artist Gotye, indie-pop band fun. and rapper J. Cole. She performed her hit “Call Me Maybe.”

“I am floored,” the singer said, thanking Bieber along with her fans in her acceptance speech.

ELECTRONIC DANCE MUSIC AWARD

Newcomer British-Irish boy bands One Direction, which had three nominations, and The Wanted, which had one nomination, went home empty-handed, losing out in the favorite pop/rock group category to well-established Los Angeles group Maroon 5.

French DJ David Guetta won the first-ever American Music Award for electronic dance music over DJs Calvin Harris and Skrillex.

“It’s wonderful also to see electronic music recognized at this level in the U.S.,” Guetta said in a taped acceptance speech.

Only 13 of the 20 awards were handed out during the live broadcast. Katy Perry was named favorite female pop/rock artist, Shakira was named favorite Latin artist, while Beyonce was voted favorite soul artist. None of the three attended the show.

Country-pop darling Taylor Swift, 22, scored the favorite female country artist award before performing her latest single “I Knew You Were Trouble” from her chart-topping album “Red,” on a masquerade ballroom-style stage with dancers in tuxedos, gowns and Venetian masks.

R&B star Usher kicked off the night with a medley of his hits on a laser-filled stage, while pop-rocker Pink teamed her performance of her latest single “Try” with a dramatic interpretive dance covered in paint with a male dancer on a stage filled with burning debris.

1990s ska-punk band No Doubt performed “Looking Hot” from their first album in a decade, “Push & Shove,” while rockers Linkin Park performed their latest “Burn It Down” after winning favorite alternative rock band over The Black Keys and Gotye.

Korean rapper Psy didn’t score any nominations, but he was named the AMA new media honoree for his viral hit music video “Gangnam Style,” accompanied by his trademark horse-riding dance.

The star closed out the show with his hit song, joined by surprise guest MC Hammer, one of the pioneering rappers from the 1980s, who was known for his catch phrase ‘Hammer Time.’

Singer Brandy paid tribute to the late Whitney Houston, who died suddenly at age 48 on the night before the Grammy Awards in February this year from accidental drowning.

AMA founder Dick Clark, who also passed away earlier this year, was given a touching tribute by veteran soul singer Stevie Wonder, who sang a medley of hits including “Hotter Than July” and “My Cherie Amour,” against a backdrop of pictures of Clark. Wonder was introduced by “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest, who also paid homage to Clark’s influence.

“Dick loved the power of music and the ability to create pure joy,” Seacrest said.

The awards show, which marked its 40th anniversary this year, treated the audience to some of its greatest moments, including R&B star Beyonce performing “Single Ladies” at the 2008 show, Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff at the 1989 awards show, and various clips of AMA regular, the late singer Michael Jackson.

The 2012 American Music Awards were handed out in Los Angeles on Sunday in a ceremony broadcast live on ABC television.

Selena Gomez may not be as big a Justin Bieber fan as she was a month ago, but at least the Canadian pop star gets the infant vote. Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr tells Us Weekly that Flynn, her 21-month-old son with husband Orlando Bloom, loves music and dancing — and Bieber’s in particular. “The other day we were in South Africa, I turned on the TV and Justin Bieber’s documentary was on,” Kerr says. “I said, ‘Flynn! Bieber!’ and he said, ‘Bie-ber.’ I said, ‘Bieber Fever’ and he said, ‘Bieber Fever.’ I thought it was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Ashley Greene knows that the relationship drama between her “Twilight” co-stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson has been getting a lot of attention — especially after Stewart’s cheating scandal this summer — but Greene hopes all the hubbub doesn’t get in the way of the release of the franchise’s final film. “Hopefully it won’t taint it and people will still be able to enjoy the movie,” she tells Seventeen magazine. “I think a lot of people see us as our characters. I really want them to still be able to do that.”

Kevin Clash, the man behind “Sesame Street” star Elmo, has taken a leave of absence from the popular children’s show amid allegations that he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy, according to Radar Online. “We met with Kevin, who denied the accusation. We also conducted a thorough investigation and found the allegation of underage conduct to be unsubstantiated,” a spokesman for Sesame Workshop says, according to Radar Online. “Although this was a personal relationship unrelated to the workplace, our investigation did reveal that Kevin exercised poor judgment and violated company policy regarding Internet usage, and he was disciplined.” No date has been given for Clash’s return to the show. The star of the documentary “Being Elmo” reportedly told another media outlet recently, “I had a relationship with (the accuser). It was between two consenting adults, and I am deeply saddened that he is trying to make it into something it was not.”

Shia LaBeouf can’t enjoy a drink in peace, apparently. The “Transformers” star hit up a dingy South London pub recently, surprising the regulars, and the evening wasn’t without incident. “No one could believe that a well-known Hollywood star had docked up at a bar in [this neighborhood],” a visitor to the Hobgoblin in New Cross tells the Sun. “Everyone was getting their photos taken with him.” Things took a bad turn, though, when a student stole LaBeouf’s baseball cap. “I think he was just joking, but Shia didn’t like it,” the source says. “The guy just took it off him and wouldn’t give it back. He tried to get it back and they ended up tussling. It was handbags, really. But it shows that even Hollywood stars can’t avoid grief down this way.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger claims he didn’t know he’d fathered a child with his longtime housekeeper until the boy “started looking like me,” he says in an interview with “60 Minutes” to promote his new memoir. “That’s when I kind of got it. I put things together.”  But while he kept the woman, Mildred Baena, on staff and began providing financial support for the boy, he was in no hurry to tell wife Maria Shriver or their four children. “It was very difficult, strange, bizarre,” Schwarzenegger says. “I just said to myself, ‘OK, I’m going to put this away.’”

In what is probably not the most shocking news of the year, Taylor Swift admits she can fall in love easily. The 22-year-old singer-songwriter tells Marie Claire magazine that she still believes in love “even after it explodes into a million pieces and burns down and you’re standing in a pile of ash of what it once was thinking, ‘Why did I have to meet this person, why did this have to happen?’ But then, when you make eye contact with someone across the room and it clicks and, bam, you’re there. In love again.” As for her penchant for writing explicitly about ex-boyfriends in her songs? She makes no apologies. “It’s not like it’s in the fine print,” she says. “It’s not my fault if someone gets into a relationship with me and then cheats and I write a song about it.”

Christina Aguilera says she’s through worrying about staying skinny to promote her music. “During the promotion of my album ‘Stripped,’ I got tired of being a skinny white girl. I am Ecuadorian, but people felt so safe passing me off as a skinny, blue-eyed white girl,” she tells Billboard magazine, recounting how she put on 15 pounds during promotion for that album, prompting a “serious emergency meeting” with her label reps about potential backlash over her weight gain. “[They claimed] people I toured with would also miss out if I gained weight because I would sell no records or tickets for my shows,” she explains. “I was young, so I lost the weight quickly and was toothpick thin during ‘Back to Basics’ promos and touring.” But for her latest record, she’d had enough: “I told them during this ‘Lotus’ recording, ‘You are working with a fat girl. Know it now and get over it.’ They need a reminder sometimes that I don’t belong to them. It’s my body,” Aguilera says.

Justin Bieber‘s latest tour got off to a rocky start over the weekend when he hunched over and vomited during one of his songs, according to video obtained by TMZ. The singer hurried off stage but soon returned to finish the set. “It’s hard for me, you know, not feeling great and throwing up in front of a bunch of people,” he told the crowd. He later made light of the incident on Twitter, posting, “Milk was a bad choice.”

Michael Jackson was reportedly a mess during preparations for his “This Is It” tour in the weeks leading up to his death, according to 250 pages of emails between executives for AEG, the tour’s backer, obtained by the L.A. Times. “MJ is locked in his room drunk and despondent,” AEG’s Randy Phillips writes. “I [am] trying to sober him up.” Phillips’ attempts to get the singer to work apparently didn’t go well: “I screamed at him so loud the walls are shaking,” he writes. “He is an emotionally paralyzed mess riddled with self-loathing and doubt now that it is show time.”

Justin Bieber‘s tattoo addiction continues, as the 18-year-old singer debuted his latest work, a small crown on his chest, in a shirtless photo on Twitter. Bieber’s other numerous tattoos include a portrait of Jesus on one leg and a pair of praying hands on the other, the Hebrew word for Jesus on his ribcage and the word “believe” on his forearm. The crown marks Bieber’s seventh tattoo. He also took the chance to tease himself for posting so many topless photos of himself on Twitter, writing, “I’m thinking to myself ‘wow really justin 3 shirtless pics in 3 days’ who do I think I am a young [Mark Wahlberg]?”

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber ran headlong into trouble on a European promotional tour on Thursday, knocking himself out backstage in Paris and dealing with a crushing crowd in Norway that left some fans injured one day earlier.

Thursday’s incident occurred after the singer fell into a glass wall during an intimate concert in Paris. Bieber told celebrity news website TMZ.com he felt lightheaded but was able to perform his last song before going backstage and passing out for 15 seconds.

TMZ posted an audio clip of its conversation with the pop sensation in which he said doctors told him he suffered a concussion and ordered him to relax. The singer quickly posted on Twitter that he was doing well, joking about the incident and saying “gotta laugh at yourself sometimes.”

The concussion comes one day after Bieber, on a brief tour of major European cities to promote upcoming album “Believe,” was met with a crush of fans before a free concert in Oslo leading to reports of dozens of young girls being injured.

Bieber’s record label, Universal Music, said in a statement to celebrity site E! Online on Thursday that it “regrets strongly that some of those who were Justin concert had a bad experience.”

A label executive said “fortunately no one was seriously injured,” and added that Bieber wanted to return to Norway and perform a future concert there.

Calls and e-mails to Bieber’s representatives were not immediately returned.

Bieber performed a free, six-song concert at the Oslo Opera House on Wednesday that is planned to be featured on his upcoming one-hour NBC television special to be aired next month.

The 18-year-old singer was forced to tweet a safety message ahead of the show after police were unable to control the crowds of fans trying to catch a glimpse of the star.

“for the show to happen u must all listen to the police. we are all concerned for your safety and i want what is best for u. please listen,” Bieber posted to his 22 million Twitter followers on Wednesday.

TMZ said 49 young girls were injured and 14 taken to hospitals, and police came close to declaring a state of emergency in the capital. Those reports could not be immediately confirmed.

This is not the first time Bieber fever has caused crowd control and safety issues. In November 2009, fans stampeded a shopping mall in Long Island, New York ahead of an appearance by the pop star, forcing organizers to cancel the event.

Bieber’s manager was charged with reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance, but the charges were later dropped.

It started Sunday afternoon when the photographer confronted Justin and his also-famous girlfriend Selena Gomez at a mall in Calabasas, California, according to TMZ. Witnesses say the photographer blocked Bieber’s car with his own vehicle and refused to move it. A fight broke out between the two guys before Bieber and Gomez high-tailed it out of there.

The photographer, not to miss an opportunity for a hefty payday, called an ambulance for himself and complained of pain in his upper torso. And after considering the embarrassment that would come with admitting he was beaten up by Justin Bieber, he swallowed his pride and filed a police report, naming Bieber as his attacker.

Now, cops want to speak to Biebs and Gomez regarding this misdemeanor battery.

Bieber certainly isn’t the only celebrity to lash out at the paparazzi. He joins a long list of famous people who have had meltdowns about over-eager photographers, including Avril Lavigne, Tobey Maguire, Britney Spears and Kanye West.

Since we know the slightest bit of criticism is enough to spark unmeasurable outrage among tween ”Beliebers,” we decided to present evidence to back up our case that this song is downright embarrassing.

Let us begin with the overuse (or just general use) of the words “swag” and “swaggie.” What is swaggie? Are we too old to understand this?

And now, brace yourself for the five worst rhymes in Justin Bieber’s song “Boyfriend.”

1. “Baby, take a chance or you’ll never ever know, I’ve got money in my hands that I’d really like to blow.” What is Justin Bieber, the new T.I.? We know the kid is a gazillionaire but is he really going to throw cash into the mix of his most whimsical, romantic song yet?

2. “Swag on you, chillin by the fire while we eatin’ fondue.” Now, that is some romantic stuff right there. Roaring fire and fondue? See Biebs, with game like that, you don’t need to go around throwin’ down dolla dolla billz.

3. “So say hello to falsetto in three, two, SWAG!” Well, hello, falsetto! We were so worried you were gone, what with all these big boy lyrics.

4. “Tell me what you like girl, tell me what you don’t. I could be your Buzz Lightyear, fly across the globe.” So yeah, just in case you needed any more proof that this song is a sad attempt at seeming more “grown up,” Biebs throws in a “Toy Story” reference.

5. “I don’t never wanna fight, yeah, you already know. I’m a make you shine bright like you’re laying in the snow. Burrr.” Aside from the double negative (Come on, Biebs, we know your grammar is better than that), we don’t even understand what this means. Do people get shinier when they’re laying in the snow? If anything, they start to lose color, right?

The latest on the possible Biebs baby? While the 17-year-old pop star maintains he isn’t the father of Yeater’s infant son, the man who does claim to be, Robbie Powell, was arrested over the weekend in San Diego, according to Hollyscoop. The 23-year-old was charged with possession of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia, as well as three charges of commercial burglary. Sources say Powell is looking to go public with his claims that Yeater made up the story about Bieber fathering her child, but he hasn’t settled on a media outlet yet.

After all of this, I hope that Bieber is the father just so that poor baby might have a chance at life.

Gosselin shoots down plastic surgery rumors

Kate Gosselin (new occupation: blogger at CouponCabin.com, continuing her fame-seeker tendencies) is shooting down Internet rumors that she got a facelift. “With all of the buzz about me having had a facelift, I will confirm that I have not had one (I am only 36!!!). But, I will take all of the talk about how rested and young I look as a compliment! So thanks!” she wrote.

I love Gosselin’s “I’m only 36!!!” excuse for not having plastic surgery, as that didn’t stop her from getting a tummy tuck in 2007 and breast implants in 2009. But, to be fair, she is 36 and a single mom to eight kids. Girlfriend probably needs all the plastic surgery she can get.

President Barack Obama and Justin Bieber are expected to be in New York City on the same day, In what’s expected to be the worst traffic gridlock we’ve seen in a while.

On Wednesday, the our fearless leader will be in town for a fundraiser while The Biebs will be at the Rockefeller Christmas Tree lighting, alongside Cee Lo Green and Michael Buble.

According to DNAinfo, closures will include, “Fifth and Sixth Avenues from West 48th to West 51st streets, the FDR Drive below 63rd Street. Other avenues east of Seventh will also be affected.”

Moving around the city will be difficult, there’s no trying to sugar coat that one. Just be patient and hope you catch a glimpse of the Commander in Chief or the Commander of Pop.

This is the second time in six months that the two will be in New York City on the same day. We’re starting to think Obama and The Biebs coordinate their schedules.

Just weeks after the biggest gossip story of our time burst out of its womb, it’s crawling back up the news-uterus (sorry, that metaphor got away from us a little bit), as 20-year-old California woman Mariah Yeater has reportedly dropped her paternity suit against the teen pop star.

From TMZ:

The suit was quietly dismissed late last week.  What’s more, Mariah Yeater’s lawyers, Lance Rogers and Matt Pare, have quit her [and] withdrawn from the case.

As we first reported, Justin not only planned to take a DNA test when he returned to the U.S., he was going to sue Yeater and her lawyers for making a bogus claim.  And, as we reported, Justin’s lawyer, Howard Weitzman, called the attorneys and informed them a suit was looming.

We’re not sure how Beiber is feeling right now, but we’re guessing it’s something like this:
