Prince Harry is scheduled to arrive in the city and visit Harlem youth Tuesday afternoon, according to news reports.

He will visit areas wrecked by Sandy in New Jersey, according to CBS.

The British prince will also meet with youth in Harlem.

Finally, he’ll be in Connecticut for the Greenwich Polo Club’s celebrity polo match.

America’s favorite member of the Royal Family is coming to town.

The British royal family announced that the “Most Eligible Bachelor in the World” will be visiting the United States in May. He will make stops in Washington D.C., Denver, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.

Is there a city obviously missing from the list? That’s right, Prince Harry will not be visiting Las Vegas where he notoriously played a game of strip poker in which he lost and we all saw his naked photos, crashed a bachelorette party, and partied with the ultimate party-boy, Ryan Lochte.

One of the reasons Prince Harry is visiting is to go to the Warrior Games in Colorado Springs.

“Prince Harry wants to highlight once again the extraordinary commitment and sacrifice of our injured servicemen and women – our wounded warriors. Although a Prince, Harry is also an operational solder – indeed he’s a soldier’s soldier – therefore throughout his briefing the recurring theme is to help recognize and bring a spotlight onto the work being done to help these outstanding young men and women,” his private secretary said.

What Prince Harry will do when he visits New York isn’t yet known. We invite him to swing by the Metro office.

Queen Elizabeth’s 28-year-old grandson, third in line to the British throne, will return home later this week after a 20-week posting with NATO forces at the Camp Bastion military base in the southern province of Helmand.

Asked before he left Afghanistan if he had killed insurgents during his tour, he said: “Yeah, so, lots of people have. … Yes, we fire when we have to, take a life to save a life, but essentially we’re more of a deterrent than anything else.

“If there’s people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we’ll take them out of the game, I suppose,” the second son of heir-to-the-throne Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana said in one of several interviews released to the media.

The Taliban had said it would do its utmost to kidnap or kill Harry during his tour, and an Afghan insurgent warlord labeled him a drunken “jackal” out to kill innocent Afghans.

His base was attacked on his birthday last September, but it was never clear if he was the target or if the Taliban raid, in which two U.S. marines were killed, was in response to a film which was seen as insulting to the Prophet Mohammad.

Known in the military as Captain Harry Wales, he was deployed to Afghanistan four months ago, shortly after pictures of him frolicking naked with a nude woman at a hotel in Las Vegas were published around the world.

“I probably let myself down, I let my family down, I let other people down,” he said of the Vegas incident. “But it was probably a classic example of me being too much army, and not enough prince.”

NO SPECIAL TREATMENT

Harry’s job as an Apache co-pilot was to man its weapons system when his 662 Squadron unit flew sorties in support of ground troops fighting Taliban or accompanying other helicopters on missions to evacuate casualties.

However, he said killing the enemy was not what had inspired him to become a gunner on a helicopter carrying rockets, missiles and a machine gun.

“It’s not the reason I decided to do this job. The reason was to get back out here,” he said.

Harry served as a combat soldier on the front line in Helmand for 10 weeks between 2007 and 2008, calling in air strikes as a “Forward Air Controller” for NATO forces, becoming the first British royal to be engaged in combat since his uncle Prince Andrew flew helicopters during the 1982 Falklands War.

However, his first assignment was cut short after media leaked news of his presence. This time, the media were allowed to say he was on active duty in Afghanistan although giving exact details were forbidden.

In the now-released interviews, Harry said he thought his elder brother Prince William, a Royal Air Force search and rescue helicopter pilot, would “love” to have been in Afghanistan too.

“To be honest, I don’t see why he couldn’t,” the royal said, adding he had received no special treatment while on deployment – eating, sleeping and relaxing with the other pilots.

“Yes, you get shot at. But if the guys who are doing the same job as us are being shot at on the ground, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with us being shot at as well. People back home will have issues with that, but we’re not special.”

Harry’s military role has enhanced his status in Britain and helped shed a reputation of a royal wild child who admitted dabbling in marijuana and under-age drinking, and who made headlines when he donned a Nazi uniform to a costume party.

As one of the most world’s most eligible bachelors, his private life remains a source of huge media attention. However, he said his antics in Vegas, where he was letting off steam ahead of his Afghan tour, should have remained private.

Unsurprisingly, he said he was more comfortable in his “normal” life in the army than as a British prince.

“GO UGLY EARLY”

“My father’s always trying to remind me about who I am and stuff like that,” said Harry, who wore a “Go Ugly Early” badge attached to his helmet – Ugly being the Apache call sign – and joked that he honed his weapons’ pilot skills playing PlayStation and Xbox computer games.

He also repeated his dislike of intrusions by the British media, something close to his heart after his mother, who spent most of her adult life in the media spotlight, was killed in a Paris car crash while being chased by paparazzi when he was 12.

“I think it’s fairly obvious how far back (the mistrust of the press) goes. It’s when I was very small,” he said.

He always read what papers wrote about him, he said.

Britain has announced it will withdraw almost half its 9,000 troops from Afghanistan by the end of the year, with nearly all the rest due to pull out when the NATO mission finishes in late 2014, ending a war that has cost the lives of 440 British army personnel since the U.S.-led invasion in 2001.

Elton John and David Furnish are parents once again, welcoming their second son, Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John via surrogate late last week in Los Angeles, the singer announced on his Web site. “Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable,” John and Furnish tell Hello! magazine. “The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement.” The boy’s birth comes just one day after John’s rep was flatly denying reports that the couple was expecting another child.

Lindsay Lohan reportedly did enough damage to her room at the W Hotel in New York’s Union Square last summer that she’s no longer welcome in the hotel, according to Us Weekly. “Her suite had so many cigarette burns, they had to change all the carpets. She did at least $50,000 worth of damage while partying,” a source says. “She is not allowed back at any W hotel in NYC, ever.”

He may trouble-prone and lack his older brother’s line of ascent to the British throne, but Prince Harry still beats out George Clooney to be named Town & Country magazine’s Most Eligible Bachelor in the World for 2013. “He’s the wild-card royal, the naughty one, the one who goes out with rah women, hangs out with a fast crowd, downs too many drinks, and goes home at the wrong moment. That’s why we all like him best,” the magazine’s editors say. “Harry might not possess a towering intellect — he was a lackadaisical student at Eton, and he skipped university to go to Sandhurst, the English equivalent of West Point — but he is cooler and more appealing than his older brother, sweet as William undoubtedly is.”

Justin Bieber‘s tattoo habit is insatiable. The 18-year-old Canadian singer has already gotten his second piece of body art of 2013, a set of Roman numerals across his collarbone, as revealed in an Instagram photo he posted of himself and producer Jamal Rashid, who got the matching digits on his bicep. In a comment on the photo, Rashid claims the numerals, “I IX VII V,” stand for 1975 and have some spiritual meaning, though Bieber hasn’t offered an explanation as to the meaning. It’s going to be a summer baby for Kate Middleton, according to Life & Style. “She’s due in July, which is a month full of significance for William,” a source says. “His mother, Diana, was born on July 1, and his parents got married on July 29.” As for who the godparents will be for the new prince or princess? Signs are pointing to Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton, according to ABC News. “Kate is very close to her sister, Pippa, and William is infinitely, in the same way, close to Prince Harry. So they are the obvious choice,” royal contributor Victoria Arbiter Brown says. “They were the best man and the chief bridesmaid at their wedding, they’re well-trusted, they’re family.”

Enough time has apparently passed for Jennifer Lopez to open up about the demise of her marriage to Marc Anthony. “I was going through a divorce and the breakup of a family, which was devastating to me because family means everything to me,” Lopez tells Hollywood Life of the breakup in July 2011. “I didn’t want to be the woman who stayed in bed for two months. I did do that a little, but I knew I had to get through it.”

Despite announcing in October that they’d separated, Danny DeVito and Rhea Pearlman aren’t actually all that separated — at least according to DeVito. When asked by Extra how he’s adjusting to life as a single man, DeVito says, “It’s not something you adjust to. Rhea and I are really close. The recent hubbub over Angus T. Jones urging fans to stop watching his hit sitcom, “Two and a Half Men,” and calling the show “filth” was apparently nothing the folks at CBS couldn’t handle, at least according to network head Les Moonves. “I don’t think [the Angus situation has] quite been resolved, but after going through what we went through with Charlie Sheen, it’s been a piece of cake,” Moonves says in a statement to TMZ.

Queen Elizabeth’s grandson is in Afghanistan on a four-month tour, based out of Camp Bastion in the volatile Helmand province, where he will be on the front line in the NATO-led war against Taliban insurgents.

“We are using all our strength to get rid of him, either by killing or kidnapping,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid told Reuters by telephone from an undisclosed location.

“We have informed our commanders in Helmand to do whatever they can to eliminate him,” Mujahid added, declining to go into detail on what he dubbed the “Harry operations”.

Britain’s Ministry of Defence declined to comment on Mujahid’s statement, and British authorities have given few details of Prince Harry’s stint in Afghanistan for security reasons.

The 27-year-old prince, who is third in line to the throne, took up his new role two weeks after being photographed frolicking naked in Las Vegas.

Known in the military as Captain Wales, he first served in Afghanistan in 2008 as an on-the-ground air controller, but his tour was cut short when a news blackout designed to protect him while he was on the front line collapsed.

After racy nude photos of Prince Harry surfaced (and rumors that a video will, too) from inside a Las Vegas hotel suite, the latest whispers indicate there was much, much more going on in that room than a harmless game of strip billiards.

Radar Online reports the prince was joined that night by a bevvy of hookers and a well-known cocaine dealer.

“A really good friend of mine is a cocaine dealer and texted me from the hotel room while the party was happening and said, ‘Guess where I am?!?’” a source told the gossip site. “Turns out he was in the Wynn suite with Harry, his pals and all those girls.”

The source said his or her coke-dealing friend would not reveal whether Prince Harry himself was dabbling in the drug, but an eyewitness said plenty of people in the suite were getting high.

“Some people were snorting cocaine. Some were already rolling on shrooms (hallucinogenic mushrooms) when they arrived at the party, and some were just high on weed. And that’s exactly why no one there has come forward on the record, they don’t want to be implicated for any illegal activities.”

While Magid has actually recanted his story and now says nothing was stolen, the LAPD is still reportedly moving ahead with the investigation.

A month after finalizing his divorce from American pop star Katy Perry, British comedian Russell Brand is apparently sticking closer to home. Brand is reportedly dating Spice Girls member Geri Halliwell, according to the Sun. Brand and Halliwell, who hung out during the Olympics Closing Ceremony earlier this month, were recently spotted out and about at Hampton Court Palace along with Halliwell’s 6-year-old daughter. Halliwell, for her part, admits there’s a new special someone in her life — but she’s leaving it at that. “I’m not going into details,” she tells Hello! Magazine. “Right now there’s nothing serious.”

Amanda Bynes‘ most recent hit-and-run incident has led investigators to renew their interest in a similar accident involving the actress from earlier this year, according to Hollyscoop. “Both of Amanda Bynes’ hit and run cases are under review right now. I cannot say that we re-opened the original hit-and-run case because it was never closed,” a spokesman for the L.A. City Attorney’s office tells the Web site. “We are reviewing both cases with the LAPD and CHP, so both incidents are under investigation at this time. She has not been charged with anything as of yet. Prince Harry is reportedly in hot water with the royal family after naked photos of him partying in Las Vegas hit the Internet. “This is a mess. This was not the type of fun he was supposed to be having. Tom Cruise’s five-year marriage to Katie Holmes is officially over after a New York judge signed off on the divorce settlement earlier this week, according to E! News. Amanda Bynes was reportedly involved in yet another car accident, but this time it looks like it wasn’t her fault. According to TMZ, Byne’s rental car was rear-ended by another driver Monday night, though the other driver reportedly claims they did not have enough time to react and avoid a crash after Bynes made a reckless move. “The collision was minor and information was exchanged, therefore, no police report was taken,” a law enforcement official tells the Web site. Bynes was driving a rental car because her BMW is still being repaired from her last fender-bender.

A booze-filled pool party turned into a friendly competition between old buddies, old pals Ryan Lochte and Prince Harry. At around 3 a.m. at Vegas’ Wynn hotel, the mischievous pair jumped into the pool, Lochte still wearing a t-shirt, Prince Harry still in his jeans, according to the Daily News.

It wasn’t long before they challenged each other to a race, egged on by thousands of scantily-clad nightclub-goers. Lochte counted to three and two were off, breaststroking their way to the other side of the pool.

Predictably, Lochte finished first, raising his arms in the sweet taste of victory that can only come from beating a member of the royal family. But Prince Harry took the defeat like a gentleman, hugging Lochte before the two went back to the real meaning of the night: partying.

Prince Harry spent another night at a party hosted by J-Lo, while Lochte continued his fun-filled weekend with bikini-clad women. His flirtatious getaway could be practice for an upcoming stint on “The Bachelor” (if he gets $750,000), according to Radar Online.

Did Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel pull a fast one on Hollywood and sneak off to tie the knot this past weekend? At least one gossip columnist says yes. Janet Charlton reports on her blog that the engaged stars were in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, this weekend — the site of Timberlake’s proposal to Biel last December — for a rehearsal dinner Friday night followed by the wedding itself Saturday at a private estate. Their quests were staying at the Four Seasons resort nearby, according to Charlton’s source.

Speaking of secret weddings, Justin Theroux spurred speculation that he and Jennifer Aniston had already sealed the deal when he was spotted walking around New York City this weekend sporting a ring on his left hand, according to E! Online. Of course, he and Aniston have only been engaged a week, and she’s off in North Carolina shooting a movie — and hasn’t even unveiled her engagement ring yet. Plus, the ring Theroux was wearing — a large, gold item with lettering on it — didn’t look very much like a traditional wedding band. Maybe he was just trying to make it clear that he’s off the market.

With the London Olympics behind him, Prince Harry headed back to Las Vegas this weekend for some fun and relaxation, according to People magazine. The royal bachelor was able to enjoy himself at the MGM Grand’s poolside venue Wet Republic without drawing too much attention thanks to the presence of Jennifer Lopez, who was throwing a party a few bungalows away. He didn’t go entirely unnoticed, of course. “A few groups of women approached him throughout the day and he talked to them briefly, but he didn’t really center his attention on anyone,” a source says. “He definitely loved the attention, but he looked to be a gentleman with all the women.”

Katie Couric says she gets “total child list when I see little kids” because she’s starting to regret not having more children. “Sometimes I think I should have had six kids. Or I wish I’d had one [more] at 37, but I was busy. My career,” the 55-year-old mother of two tells Good Housekeeping. “I think emotionally and psychologically, it’s weird to feel like, ‘Gosh, my childbearing years are over.’ And of course they’ve been over for a long time, but still, they’re officially over now. Matthew McConaughey recently moved his family from Los Angeles to Austin, Texas, and he couldn’t be happier with the decision. “No one recognizes you and no one asks you, ‘Hey, what do you do?,’ because I don’t think anyone cares,” he explained during a speech at the Texas Film Hall of Fame awards, according to People magazine. “My mother-in-law from Brazil has traveled around the world and we’ve lived in Los Angeles and New York,” McConaughey said during his presentation. “She says to me the other day, ‘In L.A., people will walk on your back and stand on your shoulders to get where they are going, in New York, they will just pull out a gun and tell you they will kill you. Here in Texas, everybody walks together.’”

While most wouldn’t think of the British Royal Family as a humorous bunch, Prince Harry insists there are a lot of laughs out of the public view. “She is very funny, but I think she gets it from my grandfather. They are very funny together,” Harry tells the Telegraph about his grandmother, the Queen. “My family is the same as any other family when it comes to humor behind closed doors, though I’d like to think I was funnier than my grandmother.”

Olivier Martinez and Halle Berry have kept fairly mum on their engagement, but Martinez is happy to confirm the happy news. “Yes, of course we’re engaged,” he tells Miami.com. at the opening of his new restaurant, Villa Azur. There are some things that Martinez would like to clear up, though: “There is a jeweler taking credit for doing the ring and it’s a lie,” he says. “They have nothing to do with this.”

A month after Whitney Houston’s death, daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown says she still feels her late mother’s presence in the Atlanta home they shared. “Lights turn on and off and I’m like, ‘Mom, what are you doing?’” Brown tells Oprah Winfrey during an interview. “I can still laugh with her and still talk to her.” Brown is also planning to follow her mother’s path into show business. “I have to carry on the legacy,” she says. “We’re gonna do the singing thing. Some acting, some dancing. It’s a lot of pressure, but she prepared me for it.”

It looks like Katy Perry’s split from Russell Brand really was amicable, at least according to the pop star’s dad, Keith Hudson. “There are no hard feelings towards Russell,”  Hudson tells Us Weekly. “I just received a text from him the other day in fact. He is a wonderful and smart guy.” Brand’s divorce from Perry will be finalized in June. As for the singer herself? “Katy is doing well just now, ” Hudson says. “Her career got really busy and she did not get to see that much of Russell. It was just one of those things.”

Prince Harry has been in California less than a week, and he’s already turned heads on two separate outings, according to People magazine. First, the prince hit up McP’s Pub in Coronado, Calif., for a burger and a beer with some pals. “He was very personable. He was a nice guy, very low-key,” the bar’s manager tells the magazine. “A couple of girls wanted to take pictures but they said no.” Harry and about 20 friends then hit a rooftop lounge.

Rowland’s ‘little nuggets’

Kelly Rowland is opening up about her decision four years ago to undergo breast augmentation surgery after growing tired of having “little nuggets for boobs,” she tells Cosmopolitan UK. “The decision was 10 years in the making, so I’m comfortable talking about it,” she says. “It’s something I really wanted to do for myself — not for a man, not for work, for myself. And I love them.”

O’Donnell gay-dar was off

Rosie O’Donnell admits that when it came to her new girlfriend, Michelle Rounds, her powers of perception weren’t quite what they used to be. “I thought she was a 28-year-old heterosexual girl, because that’s what she looked like to me. And she’s a 40-year-old gay woman,” O’Donnell tells Nightline. “My gay-dar was way off!” But the mistake was likely for the best, the talk-show host admits. “I think if I had     known that she was gay, I wouldn’t have been brave enough to talk to her,” she says.

Producers behind reality singing competition “The Voice” have no plans to ditch judge Christina Aguilera, despite rumors that the singer isn’t going to be part of the show’s second season. “There is absolutely no truth to the rumor,” NBC’s Paul Telegdy says in an official statement. Aguilera is still under contract for Season 2, which premieres in February.

Madonna pokes fun at herself

Madonna is making the most out of her “I hate hydrangeas” gaffe from the Venice International Film Festival. The singer has released a video on YouTube showing her, in silent film style, apologizing to a bouquet. “You have no idea how many nights I have lost thinking how I hurt you. Words cannot express how sorry I am,” the subtitles read, until the tone changes and she lashes out at the flowers. “I still hate hydrangeas! And I will always hate them! It’s a free country! So f— you, I like roses,” the video says as Madonna screams and stomps on the hydrangeas.

Harry rakes in the dough

If the whole royal family or military thing doesn’t work out, Prince Harry could have a career in finance. The 26-year-old royal set a record for closing the largest foreign exchange deal while manning the phones during a charity event, completing a $24.5 billion swap between Barclays London and a European counterpart, according to the London Metro. Harry earned $9,000 commission for the effort, which he plans to donate to charity.
