The couple whose children were murdered last year have a piece of good news – they are expecting a baby.

The city was shocked when Marina and Kevin Krim’s two children were killed, allegedly by their nanny, last fall.

Lucia and Leo Krim were 6 and 2 when they were murdered in their Upper West Side apartment in October.

The couple said yesterday they are expecting a baby boy in the fall, on a page devoted to a fund in honor of their children.

“We are very happy to let you know that Marina is expecting a baby in the fall,” they wrote. “Nessie can’t wait to welcome her new baby brother. We are filled with many emotions as we look to the future, but the most important one is hope.”

Manhattan students raised enough money through bake sales to save a pit bull.

Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer recognized students and staff from the Stephen Gaynor School in the Upper West Side today for raising money to save the life of pit pull terrier Misty.

Less than a year old, Misty was left badly injured on a Brooklyn street corner after being used as bait to train fighting dogs.

Her rescuers set up a Facebook page for the dog, which the students, ages 10 to 12, noticed.

Their bake sales raised more than $650 to pay for Misty’s veterinary costs.

A 68-year-old woman was attacked by a man who tried to rob her inside an elevator in an Upper West Side building Monday.

A 23-year-old Florida man was struck and killed by an A train on the Upper West Side early Thursday morning.

Bobby Legrand Guin, of Mary Esther, Fl., was hit by a northbound A train at approximately 5:14 a.m. at the West 109th Street and Central Park West station, cops said. He was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police officers found some $20 bills in Guin’s hand and on the tracks, leading them to believe that the young man may have dropped the money and jumped down to retrieve it, The Daily News reports.

Guin had moved to New York to pursue a business career, the News reports. His family was notified of his death on Thursday.

Two men have been charged with kidnapping a woman and forcibly prostituting her for two days until she finally escaped by jumping out of a six-story window, according to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

Benjamin Gaston, 36, and Johnny Jackson, 53, have been indicted for raping and sexually assaulting a prostituted woman who they held captive for two days in November.

Gaston brought the victim, 28, to Jackson’s apartment on West 92nd Street around 4 a.m. on Nov. 13. She was then robbed, raped and forced to have sex with multiple men. She called 911 from a phone in the apartment but was not able to relay her location to police.

On the next evening, Gaston brought the woman to another apartment on West 149th Street where several men were waiting.
