Still kicking themselves
One day after Sunday’s debacle to the Tennessee Titans, the Giants still couldn’t shake the way they gave away that game.
Despite outgaining the Titans by more than 200 yards — and not even having to punt — the Giants (1-2) found a way to let Tennessee (2-1) escape with a lazy a road victory.
Coach Tom Coughlin’s frustration was evident but noted their two losses came out of conference and out of the division.
“The way in which we approached the game is exactly the way I would want it approached [but] then we beat ourselves,” Coughlin said. “The oldest axiom in football is the first thing you have to do is keep from beating yourself before you can beat the opponent.”
