Pauls we’d rather be watching
The Blue Demons’ body language has changed in the second half, and that probably has a lot to do with Oliver Purnell. The first-year DePaul coach picked up a technical at the end of the first half and we imagine he was even more fired up in the locker room.
Nonetheless, DePaul is merely keeping the interest of those in Vegas right now. Here are a few other Pauls that would probably be more entertaining to the Garden faithful:
Paul Pfeiffer – Kevin Arnold’s sadsack friend on "The Wonder Years" has about as much touch from the outside as some of these Blue Demons.
Paul Rudd — Slappin da bass man. Bet he’d like to erase the memory of "Dinner with Schmucks," just like DePaul wishes it could Men in Black this season.
Pauly Shore — "Encino Man": incredibly underrated, unlike Kemba Walker who has turned it on in the second half. Walker is uninterested on both ends of the floor when the ball’s not in his hands, taking one step back after each shot goes up.
Paul Pierce — When not getting stabbed, he’s a pretty solid scorer. He’s been in DePaul’s shoes, playing his fair share of meaningless games with the Celtics early in his career.
