Expert NFL Mock: Part 4

This will be the final installment of this mock draft analysis. By now,
we’ve seen almost all of the high-upside players go. All that’s left is
fliers, kickers and defenses.

For Rounds 1-3, go here. Rounds 4-6 can be found here. And Rounds 7-9 went up on Tuesday.

ROUND 10
1. Steve Smith (NYG)
2. Danny Amendola
3. Eli Manning
4. Kevin Kolb (my pick)
5. Joe Flacco
6. Pierre Thomas
7. Matt Cassel
8. Jay Cutler
9. Lee Evans
10. Chris Cooley
11. Greg Little
12. Kellen Winslow

NOTES: I picked Kolb on the assumption he will land in Arizona, where he
would be the starter and throw to Larry Fitzgerald. … I’m not sold on
Mark Ingram fitting in with the Saints. Pierre Thomas is nice value
here. … Chris Cooley this late highlights the TE depth.

ROUND 11
1. Jacoby Ford
2. Michael Bush
3. James Jones
4. Aaron Hernandez
5. Ronnie Brown
6. Packers D
7. Deion Branch
8. Randy Moss
9. Danario Alexander (my pick)
10. Plaxico Burress
11. Tim Tebow
12. Hines Ward

NOTES: I like Danario as a simple flier. If healthy, he’s the best
receiver on the Rams. If he scuffles in camp, I’ll just cut bait. … My
favorite pick here is Tim Tebow. I think Kyle Orton is on the move and
Tebow will be the man. Big fantasy upside with his legs. … The pick I
hate here is the Packers D. I never take a defense before the
second-to-last round. They are just too unpredictable and there is
little separation.

ROUND 12
1. Steelers D
2. Nate Kaeding
3. Bears D
4. Emmanuel Sanders (my pick)
5. Shane Vereen
6. Chad Ochocinco
7. Thomas Jones
8. Rashad Jennings
9. Tony Moeaki
10. Jason Snelling
11. Montario Hardesty
12. Jets D

NOTES: By loading up on RBs early, I’m able to take a ton of fliers on
WRs. The latest is Sanders, who should move past Hines Ward on the depth
chart sooner rather than later. … The kicker pick here is simply
awful. Any flier is better than a kicker. … Rashad Jennings is a hot
pick right now thanks to Maurice Jones-Drew’s knee woes.

ROUND 13
1. Sebastian Janikowski
2. DeMarco Murray
3. Bernard Scott
4. Reggie Bush
5. Mike Sims-Walker
6. Dan Carpenter
7. Darren Sproles
8. Dallas D
9. Jacoby Jones (my pick)
10. Matt Bryant
11. Patriots D
12. Danny Woodhead

NOTES: There’s not much to see here. I like Bernard Scott as Cedric
Bensonis a free agent. I took Jacoby Jones just in case he beats out
Kevin Walter at training camp.

ROUND 14
1. Mason Crosby
2. Earl Bennett
3. LaDainian Tomlinson
4. Eagles D (my pick)
5. Tiki Barber
6. Ravens D
7. Christian Ponder
8. Giants D
9. Chargers D
10. Garrett Hartley
11. Niners D
12. Ben Tate

NOTES: Now is when I take my defense and kicker, and I suggest you do
the same. Aggressive owners can always find a defense to spot start
during the season anyway.

ROUND 15
1. Derrick Ward
2. Neil Rackers
3. Lions D
4. Stephen Gostkowski
5. Billy Cundiff
6. Leonard Hankerson
7. Jay Feely
8. Alex Henery
9. Adam Vinatieri
10. Austin Pettis
11. Steve Breaston
12. Torrey Smith

NOTES: Kickers!
