Neon Deion enters the Hall of Fame

Deion Sanders

The Pro Football Hall of Fame just got a little more stylish, as Deion Sanders entered the Hall on Saturday in Canton, Ohio.

Along with Sanders, Marshall Faulk, Shannon Sharpe, Richard?Dent, Chris Hanburger, Les Richter and?Ed Sabol were also enshrined into the Hall of Fame on Saturday. Sanders and Faulk each entered in their first year of eligibility.

“This game taught me how to be a man,” Deion said during his speech. “This game taught me if I get knocked down, I got to get my butt back up.”

Sanders was a defensive back for 14 years with the Falcons, 49ers, Cowboys, Redskins and Ravens, including two Super Bowls.

“I always had a rule in life that I would never love anything that couldn’t love me back,” Sanders added.

Faulk was a running back for 14 years with the Colts and Rams. He won the 2000 NFL?MVP award and one Super Bowl title.

Sharpe defied all odds. He was drafted in the seventh round from Savannah State, but turned in a 14-year Hall of Fame career with the Broncos and Ravens that included three Super Bowls.

“What separates us is that we expect to be great,” he said. “I expect to be great, I expect to do what had to be done.”
