Michael Vick expects to start Sunday vs. San Fran

It’s going to take a lot more than a bruised hand to keep Mike Vick off the football field.

The Eagles quarterback participated in yesterday’s morning walkthrough and was a full participant in the afternoon practice.

“I think there’s a 100 percent chance that I’ll be out there this weekend,” Vick said.

In the 10 minutes that were open to the media, Vick wore a glove on his injured right hand and threw to receivers. He didn’t seem to have a problem gripping the football, but he didn’t take any snaps while the media was present. Afterward, Vick said he took “all the snaps.”

Coach Andy Reid said Vick took a few snaps in the morning session. The shotgun ones were easier for him to handle.

“I’m not going to tell you it’s not tender and how hard he can squeeze the ball and all that, it’s tender, but he’s working through it,” Reid said.

Starting center Jason Kelce added that Vick didn’t fumble any of the snaps. Barring any unexpected setbacks, pencil Vick in to start Sunday against San Francisco.

“I’m not coming out of the game this week regardless,” Vick said. “They’re going to have to cart me off the field.”
