The Hub Crawl 2/14: Moss back in Foxboro?

Would he have made the difference against the Giants?
Who knows.
But this whole thing seems to make plenty of sense on paper.
Wide Receiver Randy Moss announced his intentions of returning to play football in 2012 via UStream on Monday after semi-retiring from the NFL last August.
The Patriots, meanwhile, are in need of a downfield threat at receiver and there was once no better combination in the history of the sport at downfield success than that of Tom Brady-to-Moss.
“I love the guy,” Brady said of Moss prior to the 2011 season. “He’s a great friend of mine and if he ever did come back and play, I’d welcome him with open arms.”
Then there is the fact that offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien is gone. Moss and O’Brien were said to have butted heads in 2010 and, according to sources, a heated argument between the two during that season’s game in Miami was the final straw in Moss being dealt by the Pats.
Taking over for O’Brien will be Josh McDaniels, who orchestrated arguably the single greatest offensive season in 2007, with Brady and Moss as his star pupils.

Red Sox: The Chicago Cubs and Red Sox have both submitted written arguments to Bud Selig’s offices in regard to compensation for Theo Epstein’s departure to the Windy City, according to the Associated Press.
Selig has not yet commented on how long the process will take.
