NBA Finals Game 3: LeBron coming into his own, Heat take 2-1 series lead

Two shockers: LeBron James is maturing. Miami fans were loud.

You can almost feel America turning the other way.

LeBron James has been the subject of endless “clutch” jokes, “Decision” jokes, “not one, not two, not three, not four, not five …” jokes and has been labeled as just as much of a despicable athlete as the likes of Tiger Woods over the past two years. But things might just be getting back to the way they were before July 2010.

James had 29 points and 14 rebounds Sunday night in leading Miami to a 91-85 win over Oklahoma City and giving the Heat a 2-1 series lead.

Dwyane Wade added 25 points of his own and is just two wins away from his second NBA crown.

The Thunder’s Kevin Durant also had 25 but was absent for most of the third quarter as he was in foul trouble with four. James’ 3-pointer at the end of the third quarter gave Miami the lead after OKC had led by nine just minutes earlier.
