Patriots make move at NFL trade deadline, acquire Aqib Talib
The Patriots identified their main problem on the 2012 season and are attempting to correct it.
Bucking most NFL trends, the Pats made a deal at the league’s trade deadline Thursday, acquiring cornerback Aqib Talib from Tampa Bay. Talib has one game remaining on a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substance policy.
Talib, who has 18 career interceptions, has had multiple off-the-field issues since being drafted 20th overall by Tampa in 2008. He was suspended a game in 2010 for violating the NFL’s personal-conduct policy.
