The Word: Kim Zolciak, gestating angel

The birth of Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann’s child will be “personal,” so they released this disturbing photo instead.

Well, here’s a Thursday morning photograph you’ll never be able to recover from. A very pregnant “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak decided to share this “personal pregnancy photo” with the new issue of Life & Style. “He thinks I’m sexy,” she says of Kroy Biermann (he’s the guy in the picture who looks like he’s smelling her stomach), a defensive end with the Atlanta Falcons. “He makes me feel beautiful.”

Ach! So many questions! What is up with being naked in these celebrity pregnancy photos? Why do they think we want to see them? Why does the baby daddy also have to be naked? If it’s because they want to present a “natural” look, why is Zolciak wearing diamonds, fake eyelashes, and her omnipresent wig?

Luckily, we will not be subjected to viewing the live birth on TV. “It’s a very personal moment,” she tells Life & Style. “I just want to share it with Kroy.” Let’s hope he bothers to put some clothes on first.

Carey and Cannon announce baby names

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon told the world the names of their newborn babies on their website yesterday. Their chosen titles? Moroccan Scott Cannon for the boy (he’s named after the top tier of Carey’s NYC apartment, called The Moroccan Room, where Cannon proposed). The baby girl is Monroe, named after Marilyn Monroe, an inspiration to Carey “her whole life,” per CNN.

So, one is named after a room and the other after a celebrity who overdosed on pills at the age of 36. They’re nice names, even though together — Moroccan and Monroe — they sound like a mid-range furniture company.
