The Word: Corey Feldman could use a better-paying job

Susie and Corey Feldman in 2009.

Although you and I were never famous teen heartthrobs — nor did we ever experience the heady high that must have come from voicing Donatello in the movie version of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” — our normal existence might mean we’re currently doing better financially than Corey Feldman.

Feldman, 40 is being sued by his Playboy model ex-wife, Susannah “Susie”?Feldman, for child support for their 7-year-old son, reports TMZ.com. She’s asking for $307 a month from the former star, as well as for Feldman to provide health insurance and pay half their son’s medical expenses. I know what you might be thinking — $307 a month? Isn’t that a bit low for a man who famously donned a pair of Ray-Bans in the classic 1988 film, “License to Drive”? Shouldn’t she be asking for more?

Actually, no. The figure is based on court documents which list Feldman’s monthly income as just $1,387. Not awful for an ordinary Joe, to be sure, but pretty terrible for a guy who was one of the biggest stars of the ’80s.

It is my hope that the mothers from “Toddlers & Tiaras” read this today. As ladies, instead of pushing your kid to be a child star, maybe it’s a better idea to suggest a nice college degree instead?

Bradley Cooper has a type: Famous

Bradley Cooper as a long list of A-list ex-girlfriends, and there’s a reason for that. Dating other famous people is just “easier,” Cooper explains to Heat magazine. “Connection and chemistry are amazing things, and if the other person is used to being in the media, it makes things easier,” he says.
Easier, sure. But they’re also way hotter and richer than us “normals.” Plus, they probably live in apartments with more than one bedroom and can afford premium cable.

Winslet’s new boyfriend

Kate Winslet is reportedly dating Richard Branson’s nephew, Ned Rocknroll, and the pair are currently vacationing in the English countryside, according to Us Weekly. “Ned is really happy with Kate,” the source says, adding that Ned, who is only two years younger than Winslet, feels the actress is “mature and has it all together. [Ned] feels he can learn so much from her. It’s sexy — a boy toy situation!”

Eh. Two years younger does not make a “boy toy situation,” anonymous source.

But it is odd he changed his name to “Rocknroll.” Was “Ineeddirection” already taken?
