The Word: Nancy Grace, out on top

Grace on Monday night. Look away! Look away!

Today’s column makes me want to rethink my life choices, as it is all about Nancy Grace’s boob. More specifically: Did it or didn’t it slip out during Monday night’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars”? (Sorry, Mom. For everything.)

During a jive routine with partner Tristan MacManus, Grace’s left ta-ta slipped a bit from her tight-fitting dress. Luckily, a quick-thinking (or momentarily blinded?) cameraman was able to cut away from the Republican areole but it was too late: Millions of people saw it. And if they didn’t catch it, they certainly did yesterday when “Nancy Grace Boob” was one of the most Googled phrases of the day. 

However, Grace swears it didn’t happen.

“Tonight, when we were doing our hopscotch portion of our dance, there was a little bit of movement but it did not rise to a wardrobe malfunction,” the 51-year-old told Us Weekly backstage after the show. “We have taken every precaution known to men in this dress right here. I’m talking industrial-size precaution. There may have been … a little bit of jiggling, but there was absolutely not a wardrobe malfunction.”

But then again, Grace has been wrong about a few things before, such as Duke lacrosse players committing rape (they didn’t), or that Richard Ricci “was guilty” of kidnapping Elizabeth Smart (he wasn’t), or that her fiance was killed by a stranger in 1979 (it was actually a co-worker). Not really sure where to put this nip-slip in the awful Nancy Grace incorrectness hierarchy? I’m guessing toward the top. Zing!

Jessica Simpson, pregnant?

In Touch Weekly is reporting that Jessica Simpson is pregnant. The 31-year-old singer recently attended the 32nd birthday party of her fiance, Eric Johnson, where she sent back her glass of champagne for a birthday toast. Why??Because she’s pregnant, of course! Why else? A source close to Jessica and Eric tells In Touch the couple is expecting. “She’s already having kooky cravings!” a friend shares, especially nacho chips dipped in chocolate — “which satisfy her urge for salty and sweet” — cheese-flavored popcorn and non-alcoholic margaritas. “Jessica might have to take out her dress a bit,” says the source as  their plans to marry in November have not changed. Excellent defense, Simpson! Now no one will dare say you did not lose enough weight before your wedding, if they think it’s a baby bump.
