The Word: Soulja Boy arrested in huge pot bust

Soulja Boy at the BET Hip Hop Awards earlier this month.

It’s going to take a lot of fancy footwork for Soulja Boy to get out of this current mess with the police.

TMZ.com reports that the “Crank That” superstar (real name DeAndre Cortez Way) was busted early this morning for weed possession by the Temple Police Department officers in Temple, GA.

The site reports that when the 21-year-old was pulled over for a traffic violation, upon a search, police found a “substantial amount of marijuana and cash inside the vehicle.” The rapper,  and the four other men who were also in the car with him, are being held in Carrol County Jail. The site reports there “was roughly $70,000 in cash and drugs in the car” — as well as a gun.

LaBeouf gets punched yet again

Honestly, Shia LaBeouf gets into more fights than a gaggle of drunk Southies. The “Transformers”?star got into yet another brawl at Cinema Public House in Vancouver last week, according to Radar Online. “He got into a confrontation with a couple of people. He took a few punches to the face. He was obviously pretty intoxicated,” a source says. The actor and another patron were reportedly bounced from the establishment, but their altercation continued on the street until both could be restrained. TMZ.com has a clip of the fight (of course they do) and you can see a man tearing off his shirt before punching LaBeouf. It’s refreshing to know people other than me want to punch him.
