The Word: What’s going on with Bethenny Frankel’s marriage?

Bethenny Frankel's husband is staying in a hotel rather than in the couple's apartment.

There are few reality TV stars who know how to game the system as well as Bethenny Frankel. Her ambition is awe-inspiring: She’s risen from a throwaway contestant on 2005′s “The Apprentice: Martha Stewart,” to, despite not being an actual wife, one of the original five housewives on “The Real Housewives of New York City.” From there, she wrote several New York Times best-selling books, starred in two spin-offs, “Bethenny Getting Married?” and “Bethenny Ever After,” and founded the company Skinnygirl Cocktails, which she sold last year for an alleged $120 million dollars.

But is she so driven that she’s letting her marriage to husband Jason Hoppy suffer?

That’s what In Touch is reporting. They say that Hoppy has moved out of their New York City apartment and is staying at a nearby hotel.  They report that Hoppy is claiming he ditched the $5 million Tribeca condo he shares with Frankel and their 23-month-old daughter, Bryn, because of renovations. But a source thinks he also left because he’s fed up with Bethenny’s diva behavior. “The fighting has gotten worse,” the source tells In Touch. Apparently, Frankel has become overly obsessed with the launch of her L.A.-based talk show. “Her energy has been nervous and neurotic,” the source says. “He can’t take it anymore, so he’s been doing everything on his own.”

Or, this drama could just be fabricated in order for fans to train their attention back on Frankel in time for her talk show, set to launch in September. She’s witchy that way.
