The Word: Ryan Lochte to hand out roses?

Lochte

With four years until he’s due in Rio, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is scoping out a side job in reality TV.

At the top of the list is “The Bachelor,” whose producers have been informed that they’ll need to come up with at least $750,000 for such high-quality abs. But even if they pay, Lochte may pass.

“Ryan is acutely aware that he has to attach himself to the right projects and endorsements that won’t do damage to his all-American image,” a source tells RadarOnline. “As much as he’d like to do it, Ryan does have some reservations about ‘The Bachelor’ because he wouldn’t have any control on how he is portrayed on the show.”

Ryan, at this point there’s nothing more American than compromising your reputation, marriage and career in the name of fleeting fame. Consider this our blessing.

Bynes driving us crazy

Amanda Bynes has been slowly working her way up to a meltdown of Britney proportions for quite a while, but she’s starting to pick up the pace. After being charged with a DUI in April and investigated for a possible hit-and-run just two weeks ago, the actress was involved in another car accident in L.A. on Monday night, reports E! Online. In the latest incident, Bynes’ Range Rover was rear-ended, but neither driver was ticketed.

Amanda Bynes, even the girl who writes about your car accidents can afford a cab ride home. You’re killing us over here.

Puerto Rico gets a little hotter

Hide your supermodels: Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Pattinson are vacationing together, thanks to a little play date set up by mutual friend Reese Witherspoon.

“Rob was totally taken by surprise when Leo called him,” a source tells PerezHilton.com. “He invited Rob along on a getaway he’s planning when he’s in Puerto Rico. Leo wants to book a mansion at a secret location on the coast so he and his pals can party in private.”
