The Word: Taylor Swift, Conor Kennedy are no more

Swift is seen here on Wednesday. She seems to be faring well, no?

Well, this is awkward. Just weeks after Taylor Swift, 22, purchased a $4.5 million dollar home in Hyannis Port, Mass., to be closer to her new boyfriend, Conor Kennedy, 18, Us Weekly is reporting they have split up.

“They quietly parted ways a while ago,” a friend of Swift’s tells Us Weekly. “It was just a distance thing. No hard feelings. They’re fine.”

Apparently, Swift was busy promoting her new album “Red” and wasn’t able to see much of Kennedy. That, and the dude is 18 and a junior in high school, so he has some time before he needs to be serious with any global pop stars. And really, this is great for Swift. I bet she’s writing a new song right at this very moment and wondering what rhymes with “Catholic.”

‘Teen Mom’ star goes under the knife again

“Teen Mom” star Farrah Abraham has gotten even more plastic surgery. The 21-year-old, who had her breast augmentation surgery filmed by MTV, has recently undergone rhinoplasty and a chin implant.
“I’ve hated my nose since I was 13,” the single mom told In Touch magazine. “I don’t have to hate anything on my face ever again. I feel gorgeous.”

And this is how Abraham explains her new face to her 3-year old daughter: “I’ve told her that mommy just wants to be a beautiful butterfly.”

I don’t understand — judging from these photos, she was more attractive before the surgery. Something terrible must have happened to her if she feels it’s justifiable to spend $16,000 to become a “beautiful butterfly” instead of, oh, I don’t know, putting that cash into a savings account to pay for her daughter’s eventual therapy (or, more likely, her own plastic surgery).
