The Internet is your friend for saving money and managing your life. Leverage discounts and coupons that you can only find online to keep costs down, and buy your textbooks online.
Utilize scheduling programs like the calendar available from Microsoft Outlook to keep yourself organized. Time management isn’t easy, but it pays off!

Never be afraid to study what you love. If you are passionate about your work and always willing to learn, you put yourself in a great position to succeed.
Howie Konopko, studying for an M.S. in Integrated Marketing with a concentration in Digital Marketing at New York University

To save money, take advantage of the school’s perks, like free printing in the computer lab, ask everywhere if they give student discounts, and use sites like Half.com for books.
Lauren Fuller, studying Rights and Humanitarian Intervention at NYU’s Center for Global Affairs

Focus, don’t procrastinate and just get things done —  it is not that difficult. When you say you’re going to do something, do it right then and there. That saves time on thinking about how you’re going to do something, it’s faster just to do it.
Marsha Golod, recent MBA from Baruch College.

If it is possible, try to go full time. At my current school, when a student takes 12 or more credits in a semester, there is one flat fee for all of their credits. However, if the student takes less than 12 credits, they will be paying for each credit individually. So by taking more than 12 credits, a student is effectively getting those for free.

Take advantage of the school’s offseason classes. Summer classes are generally classes that condense a semester down to a third of the time of the regular semester.

Textbooks can be expensive. Find used books online, rent books from one of the various websites, or buy digital copies.
