New condos are going fast in Jamaica Plain

This is a view of the condo interior.

The new Bartlett Square condominiums in Jamaica Plain boast green building construction and a style that mixes traditional details with modern amenities.

The 13 new condominiums and three retail spaces will be ready for occupancy later this month. Seven units are already reserved, according to Janet Deegan, a broker with Cervone Deegan & Associates, the Coldwell Banker sales team marketing the project.

The condos will further add to Jamaica Plain’s Brewery District, which is minutes from Franklin Park, the Jamaica Pond and downtown Jamaica Plain. The Brewery District includes shops, restaurants and of course, the Sam Adams Brewery — in addition to many residences that particularly attract local artists.

“We really call this the heart of Jamaica Plain,” says Deegan. “You are across the street from the MBTA Orange Line and the Southwest Corridor Park, which has a bike path into the city.”

In addition to the prime location and views of Downtown Boston, the building was constructed with “consciousness,” according to Deegan. There are solar panels on the roof that heat 40 percent of the common areas, energy efficient appliances and a vegetative green roof for added insulation and absorbing water run-off.

So far, the retail spaces have not been leased, but one is slated for a cafe or restaurant and includes outdoor space.

The units range from one- to three-bedroom, and range in price from $330,000 to $660,000.

The higher-priced units have outdoor decks and two bathrooms.

Amenities

Custom kitchen cabinets

Marble and granite countertops

Limestone and marble bathrooms
