‘Kate Plus Eight’ is back
Remember Kate Gosselin? She’s baaack. America’s favorite mom turned tabloid trainwreck will be reminding us of her existence with a two-hour special, set to air on TLC. The special will be Gosselin updating viewers on what her family has been up to since “Kate Plus Eight” went off the air in 2011, after 150 episodes.
Now, the Gosselin kids are preteens. The sextuplets are 10 years old and the twins are 13. Gosselin and twins Mady and Cara appeared on “The Today Show” in January and the outcome was extremely uncomfortable. Gosselin prompted the girls to talk about how great being on the TLC reality show was for them, but they remained awkwardly quiet. At one point in the interview, Gosselin, frustrated, said, “Mady, your words. It’s your chance, spit it out.”
Despite that disastrous interview, Gosselin is going ahead with this much longer TLC one, and while footage of the whole clan is sure to be included, she has not revealed whether her kids will give their own interviews during the special. It does not appear that her ex-husband John Gosselin is taking part.
The special will air June 25 at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
