I was inspired by all of the amazing shops and found my new favorite food — which is salmon roe served on toast. I loved discovering my roots, as my grandfather’s family came over from Sweden via Ellis Island in the early 1900s.”

From watching the parade in historic Annapolis to the most amazing crab cakes at The Inn at Perry Cabin, it was a thoroughly patriotic (and relaxing!) way to spend the holiday. I spent the rest of the weekend out on the deck, reading and sketching my upcoming spring collection.”
