Bloomingdale’s and the CFDA get in on Super Bowl mania
Who says fashion doesn’t like sports? To celebrate the ultimate event of America’s favorite pastime, the Super Bowl, Bloomingdale’s teamed up with the Council of Fashion Designers of America and the National Football League to create a very special window display in its iconic 59th Street flagship store. The retailer will unveil one-of-a-kind Super Bowl XLVIII helmets created by 48 top designers, including Rag & Bone and Donna Karan.
The event, taking place today, will feature a street-side tailgate with food trucks and special appearances by designers and NFL players.
To score the actual designer helmets, which are up for auction, fans will have to visit Bloomingdales.com/superbowlhelmets and bid.
The auction is on from today-Feb. 4 and 100 percent of the net proceeds benefit the NFL Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping football fans in need.
