Man grabbed woman exiting cab, attacked her in alley

Police are searching for a man they said grabbed a woman after she exited a taxi and assaulted her in an alley.

According to cops, the 20-year-old woman was getting out of a yellow cab on East 58th Street.

The man grabbed her from behind and dragged her into a nearby alleyway, they said, then sexually assaulted her.

The attack happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

The New York Daily News reported that the woman was an Australian tourist.

The suspect is described as male, black, 35 to 40, 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds. He was wearing dark clothing.
