Tonight, hours after Suffolk University is set to hold a panel discussion on gun violence in America, the head of the National Rifle Association is due in Cambridge for an interview with CNN.

At 6 p.m., National Rifle Association President David Keene is expected to sit down with CNN’s chief national correspondent and Bay State native John King at Harvard Kennedy School for a conversation about gun control in America.

The Kennedy School distributed tickets for the event via a lottery system earlier in February, according to school officials. The interview will take place at the JFK Jr. Forum.

Suffolk University’s “Legislative Responses to Gun Violence” is set for 4 p.m. at Sargent Hall, and will include remarks by former US Rep. Bob McEwen (R-Ohio), former US Rep. Robert Weygand (D-R.I.), Suffolk lecturer Rich Arenberg, Suffolk associate professor Erika Gebo, and scholar in residence James Carroll, according to university officials.
