Chinatown massage parlor raid nets one arrest

A Chinatown massage parlor raid on Tuesday netted one arrest, police said.

Officers from the Citywide Vice Enforcement Unit conducted a sting operation at Cuties Spa located at 1123 Race Street. Investigators said the bust was sparked by complaints that illicit sexual acts were being performed at the establishment.

Police arrested 41-year-old Star Gutierrez, of the 1200 block of Chestnut Street, after she allegedly solicited an undercover officer for sex acts.

Gutierrez was arraigned this afternoon and is charged with prostitution, criminal solicitation, providing false identification to a law enforcement officer, forgery and identity theft.

She was released on her own recognizance and is next due in court for a status hearing on March 5.
