Metro Boston poured the perfect pint of Guinness on Thursday night, winning $2,000 for The Leary Firefighters Foundation.

Local media competed against one another during the “Pour the Perfect Pint” competition. Judges based the winner on pouring technique and presentation.

The $2,000 grant will help local fire departments stock equipment and deliver training.

The contest kicked off a month-long partnership between Guinness and the Leary Firefighters Foundation to honor, recognize and support local fire fighters who continually put their lives on the line for others.
