PHOTOS: Pliny the Younger tapping at Monk’s Cafe
This morning, the line went around the block at Monk’s Cafe on 264 S. 16th Street in Center City, for the largest barrel of Pliny the Younger this city has seen.
The triple India pale ale, shipped over from the Russian River Brewing Company, was tapped at 11:30 this morning and two hours later, the good stuff was gone.
Nearly 300 people were served at $15 a glass.
People at Monk’s today said the first person was in line this morning at 7 a.m.
Eleven other beers were on tap from the California brewer, reports said, and all proceeds from today will be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
