Pennsylvania ranks third in the nation when it comes to the dollar amount U.S. Congress members representing the 50 states received from National Rifle Association political action committees over the past four years, according to an analysis released last week by nonprofit campaign finance tracker MapLight.

NRA PACs gave $77,200 to Pennsylvania Congress members since 2009. The figure was outmatched only by the amounts donated to Ohio, whose U.S. Congress members received $108,000 and Texas, which topped the list with its U.S. representatives receiving a total of $128,000 from NRA political action committees since 2009.

On the flip side, Pennsylvania ranked fifth in the country in terms of the amount the state donated to NRA political action committees, contributing a total of $58,724  over the past four years.

Pennsylvania was outranked by Ohio, which gave $62,069, Florida, which dished out $124,025, California, which donated $141,936 and Texas, which, again, topped the list with  $220,194 in contributions to NRA political action committees.

In all, the NRA has donated over $1.4 million to members of the 113th Congress since Jan. 1, 2009 and received about $1.5 million in campaign contributions from states, according to MapLight.

In comparison, the report notes, gun control advocacy nonprofit The Brady Campaign to Reduce Gun Violence has given just $5,800 to Congress members during the same period of time and has received $0.

Below is a list of Congress members representing Pennsylvania who received NRA PAC contributions since 2009, along with their dollar amounts:

>> Charlie Dent (R–Lehigh), $12,400

>> Pat Meehan (R–Delaware), $11,900

>> Tim Murphy (R–Allegheny), $7,000

>> Mike Fitzpatrick (R–Bucks), $6,950

>> Pat Toomey (R–Lehigh), $4,950

>> Glenn Thompson (R–Centre), $4,500

>> Mike Kelly (R–Butler), $4,500

>> Lou Barletta (R–Hazleton), $4,500

>> Jim Gerlach (R-Chester), $4,500

>> Scott Perry (R–York), $4,000

>> Bill Shuster (R–Blair), $4,000

>> Joe Pitts (R–Chester), $4,000

>> Tom Marino (R–Lycoming), $3,000

>> Keith Rothfus (R–Allegheny), $1,000
