Tony Martin, a retired welterweight fighter turned North Philly landlord, was gunned down Friday in Hunting Park, police said.
Martin, 52, was fatally shot during an argument outside of one of his rental units at the 1300 block of West Butler Street around 2 p.m., police said.
A St. Louis native, Martin moved to Philly in the mid-1980s to work on his technique. He ended his career in 1997 with a record of 34-6-1 with 12 knockouts.
