It’s the case of the pilfered porter houses.

Police in Franklin are asking for help identifying and locating a man they said visited a local grocery store this month and left with more than $300 worth of steaks that he stole.

The man walked into the Shaw’s grocery store just after 5 p.m. March 1 and left without paying for 26 porter house steaks, police said. The value of the steaks was about $327.

Police described the suspect as a white man who was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and brown work boots. He had a shaved head and a goatee.

Anyone with information can call 508-440-2729.
