Rescued pups from Michael Vick’s Atlanta kennels celebrate five years free
Rescued pups from Michael Vick’s Atlanta dog-fighting operation gathered at their rehabilitation center Monday to celebrate five years of freedom.
Six of the 22 dogs returned to the Kanab, Utah-based Best Friends Animal Society, which rehabbed the dogs back to health. The dogs were joined by their adopted families.
Vick canceled scheduled signings yesterday of his book, “Finally Free,” due to death threats and protests against a New Jersey book store. Appearances were scheduled in Atlanta, Ga., Exton, Pa., and other New Jersey outlets.
