Police are searching for a man who punched a 70-year-old woman in the face and robbed her outside home in the Baychester area of the Bronx, cops said.

  Cops seek man who punched elderly woman in face

Police said the assailant was wearing blue jeans, a blue jacket and a purple ski hat.

He approached the woman as she was entering her apartment building around 7:10 p.m. on March 7, punched her in the face, and made off with her purse.

Her credit cards, cell phone and wallet were inside the purse.

The woman refused medical attention at the scene, cops said.

Police have provided a surveillance video and photo of the suspect, and are asking the public to call 800-577-TIPS with any information.
