Transit Police arrest 15-year-old girl in connection with MBTA bus beating
Transit police on Thursday arrested a 15-year-old girl who they suspect may have participated in the group beating of a MBTA bus driver.
The girl, who officers said is from Hyde Park, is the second suspect to be arrested in connection to the attack, which police said included more than a dozen youths.
On Wednesday, an 18-year-old Roxbury man was charged with assault and battery and wrongful interference of a bus.
Police said it was unclear what prompted the assault, which happened around 1:15 a.m. Sunday on Columbia Road near Geneva Avenue in Dorchester.
The young suspects allegedly punched the driver and attempted to drag him through the bus’s windows.
