Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who is wanted for robbing several area stores, including ones in Boston and Lynn.

Boston police released surveillance images and video of the suspect on Thursday.

The robbery spree started last month and the most recent one occurred Sunday at a 7-Eleven in Everett. During the robberies, the man implies or displays a gun and demands cash.

Police said the man started his convenience store robbery spree on Feb. 2 when he held up Jerry’s Convenience in Lynn. Since then he’s robbed eight other stores including a Mobil station in East Boston.

Police described the suspect as a middle-aged black man. He wears sunglasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a dark jacket and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call 617-343-4234.
