Three men are hospitalized after a shooting last night inside a Chinese takeout store in West Oak Lane.

Officers were called to China House Takeout on the 6600 block of North 18th Street shortly after 10:30 p.m. for a report of a person with a gun.

When they arrived, they were told that private vehicles had already driven three shooting victims to Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Investigators caught up with the victims, who told police they were in China House when a tall black male wearing dark gloves and a hoodie approached from 18th Street.

The man allegedly pulled out a handgun and tried to get into the store, but the victims pushed the door shut. Police said the suspect repeatedly fired through the door while continuing to try to gain entry.

He was unsuccessful and fled, running north on 18th Street.

One of the victims, a 22-year-old man, ran home and was taken to the hospital by his mother. He was shot once each in the right arm and left leg.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the left leg and a 21-year-old man was shot in the right arm. Both of those victims ran to Bouvier Street, where the 21-year-old man’s father drove them to the hospital.

All three victims are in stable condition.

Police are looking for the suspect, who is described as a tall black male with a medium build. He was last seen armed with a black handgun and wearing a dark-colored hoodie and black gloves, possibly baseball batting gloves.
