Philadelphia police are looking for a man who was caught on camera last week holding up a South Philadelphia convenience store, stabbing a cashier in the neck and robbing a customer as he fled the scene.

Investigators said the man entered the Good & Plenty Mini Market at 1201 Snyder Ave. on Wednesday and walked behind the counter shortly before 10:45 a.m.

He can be seen on video grabbing various from the store shelves and reaching for the cash register.

Police said the suspect punched the store clerk, prompting a struggle during which he allegedly sliced her neck with a knife and rifled through her pockets until she opened the register.

The man can be seen on video stuffing wads of cash into his pockets.

Investigators said he then turned his attention to a customer who entered the store mid-robbery. He allegedly made off with the woman’s wallet and cell phone before fleeing the store on foot, walking north on 12th Street.

The man was caught on a second surveillance camera discarding his hooded jacket on the 1200 block of Mercy Street. He continued up 13th Street and was last seen running west on McKean Street toward Broad Street.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-7-inch tall black male with a dark complexion and light facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a royal blue shirt and black sneakers with white soles.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the South Detective Division at 215-686-3013 or 3014, to call 911, or to submit an anonymous tip by dialing 215-686-TIPS (8477), texting PPD TIP (773847), emailing tips@phillypolice.com or by filling out this online form.
