An abduction was reported in Washington Heights Friday evening a little before 7 p.m.

Police say they received notice that a woman may have been abducted at West 173rd Street between West 174th Street and Haven Avenue.

A group of children playing in a nearby playground reportedly saw two men force a screaming woman into a minivan at gunpoint.

Two other witnesses reported seeing both a woman and a man being forced into a black minivan by three men, one armed with a black gun, cops said.

Police provided surveillance video from the scene that shows who they believe may be the victim, walking down the street with a man. The victim is wearing a long white coat and black shoes, and appears to be carrying two black bags.

Shortly after the woman and man are out of the frame of the video, two men run after them. The alleged abduction reportedly occurred just out of frame. A dark-colored minivan, possibly a Chrysler or Honda, can be seen making a U-turn at that location.

The minivan drove off southbound on Haven Avenue from West 173rd Street. It turned left onto West 172nd Street and proceeded eastward, cops said.

Police said investigators were able to use other surveillance video to track the van as far as Fort Washington Avenue, where they saw it headed northbound.

Police are requesting that anyone with information about the victims or suspects call 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). All calls are confidential.
