Former congresswoman may seek old House seat
A former Democratic legislator reportedly is considering a run to reclaim her old seat in Congress.
Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky is exploring the possibility of running for the U.S. House of Representatives out of Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District, KYW Newsradio reports.
Margolies-Mezvinsky, a former Emmy-winning TV journalist and an adjunct faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania, served one term in Congress, from 1993 through 1995.
U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz, who currently serves the 13th Congressional District, is running for governor.
Margolies-Mezvinsky’s son, Marc Mezvinsky, is married to Chelsea Clinton.
