VIDEO: Police looking for two men who blinded man, 26, in right eye
Police released surveillance video today hoping someone can help identify two men who brutally beat and robbed a 26-year-old man inside a restaurant in Sharswood on May 25 that left him blind in one eye.
Around 2 a.m. police responded to a robbery at the New Nam Chang Restaurant, at 2136 West Oxford Ave. Police found the victim on the ground inside the restaurant with blood dripping from his face.
The victim was ordering when the first suspect punched him in the right side of his head with what appeared to be brass knuckles. After the victim fell to the floor ,the suspect repeatedly punched him. After the attack, the suspect stole cash from his pockets.
The second suspect entered the restaurant, and pulled the first suspect out. The first suspect then returned moments later to kick the complainant several more times. Both suspects fled, crossing 22nd Street and hopped into a white or silver vehicle.
The victim suffered a broken nose, orbital socket, nasal passage and lacerations. Police said medical staff feel the victim will lose his right eye.
