Three more survivors filed lawsuits
Three more survivors of Wednesday’s building collapse have filed lawsuits.
Attorney Jonathan Cohen filed a lawsuit on behalf of Linda Bell, while Robert Mongeluzzi’s law firm, which represents Nadine White, also filed suits on behalf of Jennifer Reynolds and Bernie Ditomo.
Linda Bell was shopping in the Salvation Army thrift store when the building collapsed. Cohen said Bell would shop there for kids in the neighborhood.
Ditomo is a truck driver whose vehicle was totaled while it was parked near the site.
White, who worked at the thrift store, was buried under rubble for about 15 minutes before she was rescued by a firefighter.
Police preserved key evidence from the scene, Mongeluzzi said.
The building owner, Richard Basciano, and his company STB Investments Corp. are listed as defendants, as is Griffin Campbell and his construction firm Griffin Campbell.
