Cambridge brewery to serve ‘Collier Stout’ beer to honor slain MIT cop
Anyone over 21 that wants to honor fallen MIT Police Officer Sean Collier will be able to order his Irish stout namesake at The Cambridge Brewing Company.
The CBC brewed the beer, which is called Collier Stout. It is expected to be available for about a week. Proceeds will be donated to the Jimmy Fund, which has set up a memorial fund in Collier’s name.
According to the brewery, the beer was cooked up at the request of the MIT Police Department and with the endorsement of the Collier family.
Boston Marathon bombing suspects Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev allegedly shot and killed Collier while he was on duty, three days after the terror attack.
