VIDEO: Police seek Kerrs Building Materials robbers

Philadelphia police are hunting three suspects wanted for the armed robbery of the Kerrs Building Materials store, on the 1500 block of Washington Avenue, in the Graduate Hospital area, on June 22.

Police on Wednesday released video surveillance footage that shows the three suspects approach the store and the gunpoint robbery.

Two of the suspects entered the store and were active participants in the robbery, while a third stood outside as a lookout, according to police.

One suspect brandished a handgun while forcing two store employees to empty the cash register. The video shows a woman go down to her knees.

The gun-wielding suspect is described as a dark-skinned black male, about 5-foot-7, 145 pounds, approximately 20 years old and of a medium build. He was wearing blue shorts, a white tank top and black sneakers.

Police described the second suspect who entered the store as a dark-skinned black male, about 5-foot-8, 140 pounds, approximately 20 years old and of a medium build. He was wearing blue shorts, a white tank top and black sneakers, and was carrying an orange towel around his neck.

Police described the lookout as a thin, black male, about 20 years old, 6 feet tall and 160 pounds.

Police ask anyone with information about this armed robbery to call South Detectives Division at 215-686-3013/3014.
