Philadelphia police are looking for two suspects who were caught on camera June 10 fleeing a Hartranft home after allegedly assaulting a wheelchair-bound man during a violent home invasion.

Investigators said the victim, 39, was in his home on the 2300 block of North 13th Street when shortly before 11:30, he heard a knock on the door.

When he opened it, two men allegedly forced their way inside, demanding money.

Police said one of the men, who was armed with a silver handgun, pistol-whipped the victim in his head and face.

The men then allegedly flipped over the victim’s wheelchair, continuing to punch and kick him while he was on the floor.

The 39-year-old eventually gave the men $30 from his pocket, according to authorities.

Police said the assailants were soon startled by a knock on the door and fled the man’s home through a bedroom window.

They were captured on surveillance camera running west on York Street, south on Park Avenue, then east on Dauphin Street.

The suspects are described as two thin black males between the ages of 25 and 30 with Sunni beards.

The alleged gunman is about 5-foot-6-inches tall and was last seen wearing a dark-colored Polo jacket, dark-colored blue jeans and light-colored sneakers and was armed with a silver handgun with a black handle.

The second suspect is described as being 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a dark-colored t-shirt and dark-colored pants and shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911, to contact the Central Detectives Division at 215-686-3093 or 3094, or to submit an anonymous tip by dialing 215-686-TIPS (8477), texting PPD TIP (773847), emailing tips@phillypolice.com or by filling out this online form.
