The North Attleboro Police and the Massachusetts State Police detectives investigating the murder of Odin Lloyd, who prosecutors claim was killed by former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, today released photographs of the broken drivers side rear view mirror of a silver/grey 2013 Nissan Altima believed to have been used the night of the slaying.

Investigators did not explain the significance of the mirror except to describe it as “evidence.” They said it may be in a wooded or secluded area, “somewhere close to the route from Fayston Street Boston down Route 95, to Ronald C Meyer Drive North Attleboro.”

Investigators released these images Tuesday in the hope of finding the mirror.

Hernandez, 23, has been charged with allegedly shooting and killing Lloyd, 27, on June 17. Lloyd’s body was found in an industrial area near Hernandez’s home. The two men were said to be “friends,” as Lloyd was allegedly dating Hernandez’s girlfriend’s sister. A judge denied bail last week, knocking down the defense’s claim that Hernandez was not a flight risk.

Two other men have been arrested in connection with the murder – Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace.

Hernandez has also been linked to a 2012 double homicide in downtown Boston that may be connected to Lloyd’s murder.

Anyone with information about the mirror can the North Attleboro Police Department at (508) 695-1212.
