Celebrities and professional athletes with Philly-ties took to Twitter the past few days to voice their opinions on the trial of George Zimmerman, who was acquitted of murder charges last night in the February 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Travyon Martin.

These are their Tweets:

Marcus Vick, younger brother of Eagles quarterback Michael, took to Twitter to compare his brother’s conviction for hosting a dog fighting ring to that of Zimmerman.

Tweeting from the @MVFive handle, Vick boasted:

“Zimmerman better get 30+ years in prison. If my brother had to do 2 years it’s a must. NOt self defense when u chase down an innocent kid”

“He could’ve fired warning shots!!! I hope the homes tin the BIG house go bananas on his racist ass.”

“So it’s ok for me to follow n start a fight with someone, let him beat on me then pull a gun in kill them? #NoJustice”

“Like I said before, a dogs life mean more then a human of color.”

Marcus Vick has, of course, gotten in trouble in the past after he called for the Eagles to trade his brother in November for which he later apologized.

Former 76er Derrick Coleman tweeted from the handle @44TheLegend:

“I guess they paying us back for O.J.”

Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson, tweeted from the handle @DeseanJackson10:

“That’s the face he make after killing a young black mans life ! Smh”

Hip Hop artist and Philly native Meek Mill, who says he hails from “Killadelphia” on his Twitter page, tweeted from the handle @MeekMill:

“He made out better than mike Vick….. And that was a simple dog fight!”
