Man shot and killed in Delaware home invasion
A man was shot and killed early Thursday morning during a home invasion in Millsboro.
Delaware State Police said troopers were called to a home on the 25000 block of North Berry Bramble Falls shortly before 1:20 a.m.
There, they found a 39-year-old woman, who told police her 41-year-old boyfriend had been shot.
She said two men wearing dark-colored clothing and bandanas around their faces – one of them armed with a handgun – broke into the couple’s home and demanded money.
After allegedly shooting the 41-year-old man, whose identity has not yet been released, the suspects fled in an unknown direction.
Investigators said it has not yet been determined whether the men made away with any cash or valuables during the home invasion.
The woman who reported the crime was uninjured.
Authorities said the investigation into the home invasion is in its early stages, and they expect to release more information later.
