Lena Dunham gave a full-throated endorsement of Scott Stringer at a glamorous party populated by many of the city’s hippest 20- and 30-somethings.

Dunham expressed concern for the rising cost of living in New York City, and the risk of young artists being priced out.

“I grew up in the Soho that was full of galleries, where my parents graduated college and were able to move into a loft for $350 a month if they just hid their stove from Con Edison,” Dunham said to a laughing audience.

Now, according to Dunham, the building she grew up in “houses a Victoria’s Secret and is next door to a Sephora.”

“We can’t have our generation’s Patti Smith moving to Tampa,” Dunham added. “That’s gonna seriously f— our s— up.”

Dunham is close friends with Stringer’s former press secretary and the lead spokesperson for his campaign, Audrey Gelman. Gelman has appeared on Dunham’s HBO show “Girls.”

Dunham’s first endorsement of Stringer came just days after Eliot Spitzer entered the race, when she tweeted: “I’m a native New Yorker and I like my leaders with grit, integrity and executive realness. That’s why I support @stringer2013 for Comptroller.”
