Tsarnaev’s alleged cover-up cronies indicted, due in court next week

Two alleged accomplices of accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev are due to be arraigned in federal court Tuesday.

Prosecutors say Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, both friends of Tsarnaev, attempted to conceal the 20-year-old’s involvement in the deadly attack, which killed three people and injured hundreds more at the Boston Marathon finish line on April 15.

Kadyrbayev and Tazhayakov face charges of conspiracy to obstruct justice, obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting, according to a two-count indictment released Thursday.

The men are accused of disposing of Tsarnaev’s backpack and laptop  and lying to investigators after learning he and his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, were the prime suspects in the terror attack.

They face up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000
